Maybe Jlaw (Jett) or Cooper once in a while but I don't think anyone can consistently.

Forkner, although not fully proven outdoors yet.

Jett will take another step but I still think he is another season away from challenging for a title. (Only 1 podium this year but consistent around top 5). Hunter could be at a similar level once healthy.
Forkner I’ve forgotten if he can ride outdoors? He’ll need a season to get back into it.
Cooper maybe, RJ hampshire maybe.
If J-Mart is on a Star bike he’ll win it easily I reckon.

Jett Law, H-Law if healthy, Justin Cooper and AF. On a regular basis, that's it. And it's gonna be very tough.

SX or outdoors? Forkner and Jett beats him indoors regularly.

This was gonna be my question. Indoors...a few. Outdoors, a couple. Just because he was second this year doesn't automatically make him the next slotted champion. I get the basic thought but it just doesn't work that way.

Well in all fairness only ZO16 and DF14 have beaten him straight up in MX and you can sneak CW17 there but Martin was out injured before the '16 season was over. I don't see anyone with the caliber of these 3 riders in '21 250MX season.

Forkner, Jett, Cooper, RJ, JMart. I assume all 5 will go West Coast and will battle every week for the top 5. I agree with the above I think Jett and Forker are better at indoors.

If RJ can get some consistency, I like his chances to battle till the end of the moto’s. I think He’s got the speed at fitness to make it a battle.

As always there is a pack of dogs constantly getting better and foaming at the mouth. Forkner, Cooper, Lawrence, and Masterpool will all be growing and developing and learning over the next 10 months. There is absolutely no quarter for Jeremy.

Maybe one of them. The other has yet to prove he can be consistent enough to finish two motos let alone an entire series.

I am betting Cooper is less than happy , with Martin going to PC , he was gonna be 'the guy' with Ferrandis gone, now he isnt.

But he can change that with results, def think they will be at each other's throat on the track.

Outdoors? Nobody. Not if Martin is on a Yamaha. For race wins and overalls there are many: Cooper, Forkner, both Lawrences, RJ and I'm probably missing some. But I don't see any of them challenge Jmart for the outdoors title. He had an amazing season this year.

Indoors different story

What does Justin Cooper being "the guy" at Star have to do with Martin going to PC?

Cooper will be "the guy" at Star, and Forkner and Martin will compete to be "the guy" at PC.

He was saying that we all thought that J.Mart was going to PC..in that case Cooper would've been "the guy" for Star 250s.

Now that J.Mart is not going to PC..but instead will be his teammate on Star...he (Cooper) will no longer be "the guy" by default.

Got it. Just saw the thread with Star's Instagram post. Didn't realize Jmart going to Star was signed and sealed. Good for Jmart.

Forkner reminds me of AC on a 250. He has tons of speed but crashes a bunch. If I was him I would change my program up. He needs someone like Wey.

That question should be asked in January for SX, and in May for outdoors....right now it doesn't matter. Racers abilities vary throughout the year...nobody is "on point" 24/7/365. However, I'd say the best you can answer that question right now would be....considering he beat em all the last moto of the year....I'd say look at the 3 people who beat him in the penultimate (my nod to Malin) moto of the year....

JMart is a man in the boys division outdoors. He'll crush everybody, most of the time.
Supercross? I still don't see him getting it done. Jett and/or Forkner will have him covered.

Depends on how big of a jump Jett makes, if Forkner and Cooper can stay healthy. Really if all three of em can stay healthy that’s all for outdoors. Indoors plenty of guys can beat him but he could/should be a title contender as long as he is not racing Forkner and again let’s see the year two jump Jett makes.

Im just worried that the SX season will take his mojo away. Momentum and confidence is huge in this sport.

Cristian Craig.
I’ve got the feeling he is going to have the best year of his career in supercross next year

Who knows if he and Martin will be in the same series though.

Forkner will ride opposite coast stamp it. Although it would be sweet to see those two go at it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if jet sweeps SX and mx

Don’t get me wrong, I think Jett is going to do great things in the future, but do you really believe he’s going to run the table in SX next year, when his best finish this year was a couple of thirds? He’ll definitely
win some races next year, and could be considered a title threat, but I think the titles will go to JMart & Forkner (unless they run the same coast, then I lean towards Forkner).
