He just announced on social media he will let his foot heal properly. His back and neck are healed.
This foot was the reason for his crash he also explained.

Probably a wise decision, but I was kinda hoping he would be in the mix and maybe even chase the red plate again.

I have decided to sit out the rest of the 2020 season. All year I been struggling with a recent injury on my foot and I believe it’s the best solution to get this fixed before I jump back on the orange machine, so will have surgery on that next week to hopefully be able to finally being able to ride a dirtbike again in 2 years without pain. The recent crash happend because my foot came off as I had to put my foot differently on the footpeg as I always had pain and thats why I went over the handlebars and crashed on my neck. On a other note the neck and back injury is fully healed. The last 2 years have been difficult, due to the foot I wasen’t able to perform at my best. I believe this can be fixed and that we will have bright years in front of us. Man so damn good but gets injured a lot. Hopefully he settles down and can stay injury free

I can't believe it was even a thought to come back that quick. I would imagine if his neck healed that quick he prob. fractured the vertebral processes vs the entire vertebral bodies. That's a huge positive!!! Obviously I am no expert and could be wrong. One thing is for sure...ANYTHING fractured in the spine is scary and serious as heck. Glad to hear he is healing up quick.

That sucks for him and the fans. Never knew he had a foot issue for 2 years? His neck and back will have plenty of time now, even if he says it's behind him...

Injured his foot pretty bad early 2019. Missed most of the season and kept bothering him until today. Lost and struggled 2 season with it.

He says he can’t run anymore and foot is pretty sore/stiff and painful most of the times. Could get it right with a operation, but never got a time frame to do it... right now it’s a good thing to do for him.

Hopefully everything will be alright for him after all of this, racing is better when he is on the gate

I broke the same bone in my foot in the middle of 2016. Had surgery and have hardware in to this day.
Mine is just now feeling 85%better. I still can’t run without being to sore to walk the next day.

I think he is going in for a fusion just eliminate the issue altogether.

OK - what does he mean by:

Does the recovery of the surgery take that long? Can he ride/race before it is 100%?
Or is he off for 2021 and some of 2022? or is is a typo?

Wow, shocked he was paralyzed for 30 minutes a few weeks ago and now the neck and back are all healed up? How is that possible? He has got to be one of the luckiest people alive! Holy crap.....

Can't believe what that guy has been through and keeps coming back for more like the Energizer Bunny.

I can think of Two World Championships off the top of my head maybe three that injuries have cost him? Dry

Hope he heals up fine, dude is an animal and Fun to watch!
