Jettson v Coop

Has jett won a mx overall yet? If not no room to talk. Just doing it for attention like a punk ass child. Hate that shit and lost me as a fan.

Disagree! We need more FIRE from these athletes. Some trash talking is AWESOME! Would you rather have this or "I'd like to thank Thor, Parts Unlimited, and Scott Goggles, the man above, my dog, and my girlfriend"??

Still don’t know if it’s an inside joke between them and they’re just busting each other’s balls or if they’re really talking shit to each other.

I just find it odd that Jett thinks he’s right to hop on his high horse and point it out. His donut thing was a fucken embarrassment.
How was it an embarrassment??? He was a 16 year old kid and it started as an inside joke with him and he shared it with the public. We need more of this NFG attitude and not the closet canned BS we generally get. Don't you want their actual personality rather than fake and boring? Cooper is a tool anyway. Remember Lakewood last year and crying because AC "cut the track" and then dropped Cooper...and then Cooper crashed....and then it was AC's fault for not entering the track in the right place.

Yeah....he is doing terrible for his first pro year lol. And yes you can talk trash without winning. I'm sure there is more to this story with these guys not to mention the Geico/Star rivalry.

100%

I’m sure the sponsors who paid big bucks (and his paycheck) loved having a mutt in the photos instead of their logo.

When will jett win a MX National is the question. Better be next week with that mouth. All for talking shit if you back it up. Like Cooper did.

Deep down, we all like it a little bit. The dog was a little much to me but Cooper is a different dude all around so I’m not totally surprised.

Come on now some jab jabs are funny to watch, and rivalries seem to make things more interesting instead of the super vanilla pit board reads we always get.

And FWIW F1 is supposed to be the tip top motorsport right? Well Kimi posted this jabbing Lewis.

Bringing a dog up on the podium is begging for attention and was pretty lame imo. You do realize Jetson just turned 16 yrs old when he did the doughnut thing? That was also pretty lame, but he was 16 and not 23. Cooper may beat him next year for a title, but Jetson has the brighter future imo, especially once they are both on 450s.
Jett has a great future, same as Cooper. I don't get the obsession of you guys living in a future that doesn't exists yet.

And I give Jett a pass, he is young.

However, looking back in the "recent past" history of the sport all trash talkers have been humbled down by the quiet introverted guy: Dungey- JLaw, Tomac-Deano (on 250), Sexton- Forkner.

It will be interesting next season if both end up in the same coast. Tittle is going to be between those two and throw Forkner into the mix.

It’d be interesting to see what the reaction would be if it was Jett that brought his dog on the podium (not sure if he owns one, just hypothetically speaking). I’d almost be willing to bet it’d be pretty close to unanimous praise.

You know what the best revenge is? Winning. It makes a lot of other stuff irrelevant.

If I ever got to the top of the podium at a National, I'd likely throw up double birds and say, "Here's to everyone who ever doubted me." Of course, there's zero chance of that ever happening. Wink

I got to meet his dog in the pits yesterday, and that is one cool pooch. Some dogs lounge around and don't do much. That one is attentive, is busily scoping everything out, and has a general, "Hey, do you want to play?" attitude.

Also, I know the pooch doesn't pay the bills, but I'll take that all day over him stiffly holding a Monster can on the podium.

We had one veteran member who went the full-on attack route on the Lawrence bros. He's watching from the sidelines until we sort that out.

My wife and I thought the dog was funny. Jett's donuts were funny, too. Both instances showed the riders have some character beyond the typical yeah-no-for-sures and can't-thanks. That said, Jett's not coming out on top with this one. Should've known the donut thing was gonna come back around to make him look like a hypocrite.

Also, Craig was up on the podium some years ago with his kid, and lots of millennials are opting for dogs instead of kids as an addition to the family... so its basically the same, right? lol

Did Justin Cooper tongue kiss your mum and not bother calling her the next day? Is that why you're so salty at him?? Or is "infantile attention seeking behavior" only acceptable when the rider is one of your own countrymen?

I get it, Jettson is your boy... I'm a huge fan too.. but your "hot take" here makes look like a fucking muppet bro
