I remember seeing artists renditions of this at the time, and it looked so cool. The left side kicker is a turnoff for me though. That swingarm is massive!

It was an auction, and didn’t meet reserve, which I couldn’t find out what that was. I found the bike after the auction was over.

If anyone is interested, these guys have something like 4 still for sale:
https://www.brouwermotorsport.nl/
They are not listed on the website.

Last year at the MXDN they where displaying one at the vendor stands.
Long story short, bought one and a new cannondale and some others for collecting purposes.Smile
They where build by Vertemati.
Only a small batch of around 10 bikes.
There is no technical documentation or anything of the bike.
But Vertemati has the CAD files

My Maicos and working with the original, Swedish Husabergs made it a 'natural' thing to do.

I still think I could kick over a LH KS, whilst sitting on the bike (even without a knee cap and most ligaments missing Woohoo ), easier than I do a normal, RH kicker.

It was a Maico that I rode many years ago that had the lefty but it was onky for a few hours in total so I guess you'd get used to it. Right now I'd be scared to give one of those a kick...

Buckling stress shouldn't be an issue with that massive swingarm. That thing is a bridge abutment.

At 16 years old I was racing a 1979 450 Maico left side kick no big deal, also raced a RM 125, more of a problem going form one to the other racing on the same day,took a half a lap to get used to what I was on,oner rev the 450 or lug the 125.

In the early 80s I had a left-side kick 1983 Honda CR250 and a Husky XC 125, also left side kick. No problem when you're young.

As I stated they are not listed on the website.
They typically visit all kind of moto events and showcase their special bikes.
Thats how i got to know them.

When I picked mine up last year there were at least 4 left.
One was definitly ridden.

Is this Ferry Brouwers' / his families business?

If I've got the Brouwer right, there's an amazing history there to delve into, for those here that are not aware of Ferry, especially when it comes to Yamaha, and Arai.
