Or Justin is willing to dive into a bike program he believe in and is willing to reduce his up front pay, with the potential for better results, bonuses, and stats.

Does anyone buy gear because Barcia wears it??? Really?

I have heard Alpinestar uses all the money that comes from MX to pay their riders with a breaking even concept

It’s beginning to sound more and more like Max Vohland to the Factory KTM team, will they field a 2nd 250 guy on the other coast? Seems like they won’t be and either Drake or Hartranft will be gone from under the Orange, white and red umbrella.

Geico Honda losing Geico could be a huge factor, let’s hope they find a sponsor to pick up some of the tab and keep all their riders who are contracted for 2021.

Hartranft has the edge there and has podiums indoors and out this year, he earned another year. I love Drake but results are much less compelling.

Was Hartranft only a one year deal? That's going to suck if he gets dropped simply because he drew the short straw. Kid's having a pretty good first factory year.

Yep, spoke on it a little bit last night on Pulp. Seems like a great kid, want to see him continue to progress.

If Vohland is one factory KTM 250 rider then I could see Hartranft maybe getting the bump to that team. Or maybe Marchbanks. I'm really interested to see how this GasGas/TLD and RedBull/KTM 250 situation shakes out.

I thought vohland had at least one more year in ams? Isn’t he still on a 125?

Great band!
You ain't lying....their resurgence in 2010 with Blood of Nations is one of my favorite metal albums of ALL TIME! The other 3 they've made after Blind Rage, Stalingrad and Rise of Chaos are also AMAZING albums!! Just not as epic as Blood of Nations was.....I like their older stuff too but this 2nd coming of Accept has been nothing short of incredible with the music they've put out with Mark Tornillo at the helm. I'm a huge Accept fan as you can tell....

I'm not sure how much they're paying Musquin just for boots but if he can get boot money on top of gear money from Thor then head to toe he must be close to 500k aswell as a guess..

If theyre paying barcia $500k, then i assume Anderson is on the same, Sexton? similar deal? Tomac and Herlings have to be worth twice that amount based on exposure you would think.

As everyone has said, thats a lot of boots that need to be sold to return on that. But it must be worth it, they've been doing it for a long time now and every big name that pops up tends to atleast be in discussion with them.

He raced 125s this year and seems like he is just started riding a 250. He has at least one more year in am's. Thrasher is ahead of him to come out of the am's.

Domestically or EMX250? Their approach has been to take things slow and not race the other fast guys his age. I would be surprised if they threw that out the window and went from 125 B/C to pro.

The whole idea behind the 125 wasn't to race kids younger than him, it was to gain experience on the National tracks. That idea obviously blew up when the 125 all star races were cancelled. There's no problem racing the fast kids, his age... The plan was good, it just didn't materialize. I hope the best for Max and Tallon, they're deserving

Parked next to Falk, Bailey and Cantrell in the privateer pit area for big name amateurs who only got one SX season to prove themselves?

Seriously. Spend all that money on them, give them 2 outdoor seasons and 9 regional SX races, then chuck them aside for the next prospect. What a horrible model for development. Cut the amateur funding down by like 80% take a small portion of that money to keep 250 guys racing, and put the rest into getting more factory bikes on the track in 450s.

Cantrell had 2 seasons iirc, that being said I completely agree with you. Out of all of them I think Drake might the one with most potential. Sucks for all regardless.

They should never be allowed to go straight for "B" classes to pro. Maybe make them do a full year in "A" and at least 6 of the big races a year. Maybe raise the minimum age to 18/19 yrs of age.
Bottom line is their too young.
Current model is flooded with prospects who are failing and getting bumped by the next failure prospect.

Age is not the thing. It’s teams sponsoring riders for 15 years and ditching them after 1 year in the pro class. See how the EMX125 and EMX250 works. That’s an idea. Jett Lawrence already had a EMX250 year of experience before he went to the USA. Makes a difference to his rivals that ride 4 races on the road to loretta’s. They need gate time, not practice time

Georges Jobe, Ken Roczen, Jeffrey Herlings were all world champions by 18.

It isnt that they are too young, its that they dick about at MCF or wherever, riding against themselves, and doing races that dont matter.

Lechein and Johnson too. They came up at 16
Trouble is. they spend too long being a big fish in a little pond, and cant hack getting smoked week in week out.

Fair call Phil but a huge difference is those guys don’t have to worry about winning in SX as well. Those MTF’s etc only get you to the pros after that they appear to be no good.

I have to agree. TLD has been chewing these kids up and spitting them out at an alarming rate. Some just need time to show their real potential. I don't think Alex even rides anymore, does he ? What is he..20 ? Sad.

Maybe the team manager I would think. He seems to only have that position due to being related
