Let me try this:

If you had a new KTM 450.

And you had the following choice.

1. 16 year old Bobby down the street who reads MXA can come to your garage and set up your suspension and mapping.

or

2. Decoster and Carlos Rivera will meet you at the track for a day and provide you with what you need to set up your suspension and mapping.

Which would you choose?

the advice of Bobby, or the advise of experts?
I'd take Bobby's

My little brother just moved to Mesquite. I was thinking of taking the dirtbikes up there sometime to ride when visiting. Is Mesquite MX really just for minis? any other tracks in the area? TIA
Mesquite is a great track and not only for minis... who said that... because they used to run the mini Os way back when? Hell even Roczen did his first ride after his injury was at mesquite... hell I rode there this morning and the track is a blast!

What's the place like? How many tracks do they have? Nationals track only or do they have a Vet track too? Our son prefers to ride vet tracks. I'm super interested in checking it out one of these times I'm up there. Good call on the place. I was checking it out online and it looks super cool!

Crush you don’t get it do you? It cost money to make money from the business side. If a track or MX Sports loses more money than it pulls in how long would the Nationals last. SX is a different program.

Thanks for stating the bleeding obvious.

The point is, nothing is going to be perfect right now is it. All involved would be aware there are going to need to be sacrifices and compromises if they want to get a title done... I’d assume that’s the preference, a lot of the the teams sponsorships and employees likely depend on it too...

Hence, my question was asking if they could somehow compress and condense costs to a few locations that are willing and able to work and then you’re left with the home base travel issues etc

No. I’m asking if they’re looking in to a similar concept so they can get it done. Nothing normal
is looking better each day, and I’m not sure I claimed it as my idea. Fuck a duck, does anyone read here?

This summer blows. No sun here in Washington where I I live. Record rain. Everything cancelled except loretta qualifiers. I miss the sx on tv. That was really nice for that month. Man I miss what we used to have last year

It’s been explained crush it won’t work, won’t fit. It’s a whole different style of business than SX.

Did you even read and comprehend what I wrote? Surly they thought of it, it’s what they do for a living and got it done for SX Why wouldn’t they think of it for MX??? Fuck a duck is right....

Loretta Lynn's is still a go though?
Thanks for the clarification DC. I was really looking forward to Ironman.
Currently my return to work date is August 1st, really wanted to get some racing spectating in while I'm laid off, guess I'll look at some GNCC, Sprint Enduro, Off-Road racing schedules💡

Sorry if i missed this elsewhere... DC have you guys looked into running a 3 moto format? That's the plan north of the border and it seems to be an easy way to get extra moto's in when its safe to drop the gate!

Yeah I'm sure 10,000 people in the prime of their lives wandering around a field, in 95 degree heat, tanked on alcohol are prime candidates to die from the dreaded pandemic. unreal, what a scam job this is.

I just want mx / vital to get back to fun and a nice daily escape.
These tired old arguments makes it easy to only check in a few days a week instead of several times a day.

One thing I did get from all this unpleasant situation is weedges video on cognitive bias it was a life changer for me kind of changes how I go about things differently now.

More than 40 hospitals in Florida now have full ICUs, no empty beds.
Many others are close to capacity

When they say flatten the curve, they mean bring it back down to baseline. You guys made a beautiful plateau at around 20,000 cases a day, before you started the current “Mt. Everest” climb you are currently on in the 55,000 case level. I don’t know if America has any hope for getting it under control anymore. I hope that the virus does not have a substantial impact on the lives of my American neighbors.

Well, we did not exactly come back to baseline here in Canada either. Especially in Quebec and Ontario. The last week in BC has shown we have some community transmission going on, and our testing rates/million are pretty low. IMO it could either way still in Canada. So let's not get too high on our Canadian horses.

Plus we are about announce a $300B debt due to the pandemic and probably see our credit rating and currency take a massive shit in about 40 minutes.

$343B is the cost of the pandemic deficit in Canada. It's going to be a long road back out of this one.

That's peanuts compared to the US deficit

Come on Steve. You cannot deny there are extremely dangerous/toxic divisions in this country and the media is throwing race-gas on them. There are extremists on opposing sides who are just itching for their moment.

Throw in an economic crash ( oh yes, it's coming). Boom.

Yeah. The media's fault. Blink

Sorry, the America I live is must be different from the one you live in. That said, posting stuff like this in Non-Moto would be questionable at best. Over here on the moto side? I don't think there's any place for this kind of nonsense here.

I have not been reading news much. I did check CNN on this one, and holy heck do they paint a grim picture. Checked another independent news source, and got a bit more of the picture on this one. Another thing worth noting, I keep reading about overwhelmed hospitals, but have not seen a single photo proving it. Anyway, more info on what is going on in FL. I realize you live there so you know 100x more than I do, but it is amazing how much the story changes from one news source to another:

(source: https://wusfnews.wusf.usf.edu/)
“Reports that somehow we are running out of hospital beds are incorrect, grossly exaggerated,” Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez said during a roundtable discussion with DeSantis and hospital executives on Friday. “This is concerning, that the positive rate may be going up. That's why we're going to be cracking down on enforcement, but it's not alarming.”

DeSantis called the executives together to talk about hospital capacity in South Florida and across the state.

“We have twice as much capacity in the hospitals throughout the state of Florida today, than before the pandemic began,” DeSantis said.

The confusion occurred because the state’s dashboard does not provide the whole picture, officials said.

Until everyone in the usa wears a mask in public and stays 6+ft away from each other at all times there will be no pro racing with fans. Something so simple has turned into an impossible feat for the supposedly greatest country on earth. Took the USA 99 days to hit 1 million cases. Took 28 more days to hit 2 million cases. Took 14 more days to hit 3 million cases. See were this is going? Dont be selfish. Do your part and stop acting like it does not exist.
