I've thinking about this for some time now.
I always want something else, that what I am currently riding. First I had a 125, but badly wanted a 4-stroke. I then got a 250f, but after riding it a little while, i caught myself wanting a larger 2-stroke. So I got an MX300, and here I am, wanting a different bike again.
How people stay with a bike for years I don't understand, what's wrong with me? 😂

Had a yz125, wanted a 250f.
Owned 3 different 250f (all kawi) in 3 years.
During quarantine i bought a 01 kx 125.
Now i want to sell my 19 250f to get a new SX/TC 250 2 stroke to ride.
Guess i'm like a little kid, once i got the toy in my hands, i don't like it anymore.
Ahahah

About 5 months after that a local kid I know was wanting a 125 and was asking me to sell it to him, so I did.
Then a couple months later I bought a 16 KTM 125sx and did the same thing. Loved the bike but decided I didn't ride it enough and sold it last summer.
Fast forward to February of this year. The kid that bought my Husky 125 moved up to a new KX 250 and was selling the 125. Although a bit worn out I bought it back and rebuilt it. So now I have a 125 again. Wtf am I thinking?
Oh, and I can't blame it on being young and dumb, I'm 63 for gods sake! lol
Pit Row
I've had multiple bikes in the garage, jumping from one to another doesn't work for me, I get in tune with one and it works best to stick with it. Maybe if I could ride twice a week, having different bikes would not be that bad, not being able to ride for weeks at a time, I just stick with one bike.
I have a "list" of bikes I have to own:
2003 KX125
89-04 KX500
2001-2006 RM250
2002-2007 CR250
1999-Current YZ250
1993-1996 CR250
1996-1998 KX250
Any decent 2005-up 450 for the occasional offroad and big hillclimbs at Carnegie
But with the RIDICULOUS prices people are currently asking for their older 2 strokes, my dream lineup is fleeting 😡
1st: 3 years
2nd: 3 years
3rd: 2 years
4th: 4 years
5th: 11 years
6th: @ 1.5 years currently
There's been the occasional 2nd bike in there, but these are the durations of my main bikes.
Post a reply to: I always want another bike, than the one I have.
