I can't believe the amount of softies around here. I guess it could be chalked up as only very few have the mindset of a champion...

If it were up to nearly everyone is this thread, Zach Osborne would not have a 2017 250 championship on his resume because they would have felt it was unsportsmanlike or a chicken shit move to make a pass for the title and a million dollars.

Dude so true. I think he's finally ready for that pressure. But he did say "I'll be gunning for it Wednesday" on the podium so it would be cool to see a dog fight again if him and Webb are up front. Eli is fast but man he does not get great starts often.

I would love to see him take the win on Wednesday but it will depend on the track and his start. If it's another flat track with ice rink conditions then advantage Roczen and Eli should follow the leader again. If it's a separator track where he's much faster and gets a good start then hammer down and take the W. Even then this is super risky with the amount of lappers they are dealing with.

Do NOT battle with Webb at all costs.

One of the most entertaining races of all time. Nothing wrong with what Tomac did. Bicycle racers do it.

And the key (as others have said) was that Tomac was the fastest and controlled the whole thing. If Kenny and Webb try that with Eli he will just fly by and that is that.

Don't think Eli would have pulled that if Marv and Dungey at least owned up to the team orders debacle. IMO Eli was just pissed at himself for throwing the points lead away himself on top of Marv letting Dungey by. I think all is fair though personally if you're that close in points as long as you're not purposely going for the front wheel or something.

The "bunching" was a great move to win the championship! He almost pulled it off. Great game plan and totally within the rules of good sportsmanship. Very smart strategy and I hope Webb and Roczen can come up with something to make it as exciting as possible. BTW.....i almost stroked out watching the Las Vegas SX of that year. I couldn't stop yelling at the TV.

A blatant takeout for the championship at this stage in the game is totally OK. If Eli decided to play cat and mouse with Webb like he did the other night and Webb cleans him out, that's on Eli for putting himself in that situation. Use your head and don't allow it to happen.

Agree. You don't need to injure him, but putting him on the ground (ala Osborne vs. Savatgy) is perfectly acceptable. As we were watching Sunday we were talking about that several times: should ET catch Webb does Webb put him on the ground? Does Forkner put Ferrandis on the ground and try to make up the points gap? At this level they are all capable of doing it, as well as seeing it coming. Is it dirty? Ask Hannah, but IMHO not when it's a title on the line. Savatgy left the door wide open and Osborne drove a truck thru it - that's at least 50% on Savatgy for getting so lazy/being so unaware with 1 turn left in the championship.
