The most wins without a title is not a statistic to be super proud of in my opinion. He should have at least 1 title after this season, he deserves it no doubt.

To be fair he's right, but if I finished with one championship and 5th-6th in all time wins, I wouldn't lose any sleep at all. Tomac knows he threw away a couple years, this is redemption. And he's crushing it.

BUT if you don't have any SX titles it is still very cool to have all those wins! Much better than no titles and not many wins.

And Eli's races are some of the most entertaining and exciting of all time. Even when he doesn't win.

I disagree with his statement, though. Any record you hold is one to be proud of, especially if it is the most wins in SX.

Even as a Tomac fan I don't see him getting to 50. I think 40 is reasonable, maybe even 45. But that is still 11 more wins between this year and next year...things change every year, people get better. and let's not forget Eli is no Mike Alessi when it comes to starts.

Hard to say how long he will ride. If he rides 2 more years then maybe 50, otherwise I say 40-45.

We'll be lucky if he's there in 3 years ~ 50+ wins. 34 wins is 4M in bonuses. Maybe he gets greedy or happier w/his job and stays longer but seems to me that he could call it a career as soon as end of next year.

The elephant in the room is certainly the championship but it seems that he's pushed through the issues he's had previously. Impressive he's accomplished what he has without a 450SX championship.

Was it JT$ that predicted he wouldn't get a championship since no other champ has ever gone this long without a championship?

I reckon he will double champ SX/MX the next 2 seasons. Webb’s his biggest threat though, as much as I hate him he is so good!
