C class Vs B class

idiotic isaac
Whats the difference between C class and B class? At the races tbh it doesn't seem like B class is all that faster then the top C class riders but that could just be me. Anyways I have goals of moving up to B class by the end of the year and want to know what I should focus on to reach them.

C class is a bunch of sandbagin pros. Just sign up in A class, and lower the bill on your helmet so they can’t roost your goggles.

OP- Honestly, it depends on where in the country you are talking about. C class is some areas is basically the beginner class, while other areas the c class isn’t far off of intermediate speed.

I found in aus most of time the top C riders are just as fast as B riders if not quicker because you always get people that don’t race enough rounds to graded up

I just moved up to B class at the beginning of the year. C class is anywhere from “b class speed” to guys who just started riding. Turnout in our local C classes is anywhere from 10-20 riders and B class 0-4 riders. Go with your gut, if you’re winning C class comfortably then it might be time to move up.

The riders winning in my C class at club races put in lap times that would put them in Top 5 in the A class

C class you can fall down 1 time per moto and still win.

B class you can miss shift 2 times per moto and still win.

A class you can’t make any mistakes to win!

When I was racing C class a few years ago in the Portland area a few kids went to lorettas did pretty good but didn't get any support and started running up front of the A class the following year cause they "needed to pay bills".

I raced 25a class went 4-5, of 12 riders. on a hilly sand track. Same day In 125 c worst finish for 7th. Always carnage like 3rd corner pile up, with a rider wide open crashing into the pile. Bending your brake rotar. Big time Cherry picking class. Race amateur day at a National, a lot of riders drop down a class.

If you're smoking C, race B
Smoking B, race A
Smoking A, go pro
Smoke pro, you're rich

Really is as simple as that
The goal is to ADVANCE, not win every race

This is the truth. Seen way to many guys in c class at a LL area qualifier top 5 running top ten A class in lap times. Literally every year. They need to do something like a set a lap time if your running in the top 10 of the next class up you have to move up.

You gain nothing from winning c class races. The racers in b are more skilled, safer to be around. Through years of racing i have found you become more trustworthy of riders in B class. C riders with take the unnecessary chances that could take you down on things such as a jump. Thats not a knock at c riders its just a lot safer in B class.

I once raced a C class race where we were double gated with the B class. B class took off and the gate dropped for us 20 seconds or so after. The kid who won the C class finished 3rd behind the two winners of the B class haha.

Just move up, you will get faster and it will be safer than riding with true beginners and old racers sandbagging for plastic riding at different paces.

The thing with C is that you have "normal" C riders, but you also have racers who are holding back a class and staying in C for one reason or another, be it Loretta's or just not wanting to move up. Because of that, I wouldn't say that you should stay in C until you are winning every race, because that probably won't happen. But if you consistently finish "in the money", say the top 1/3 of C class, then it would probably benefit you to move up. If you are finishing in the bottom half but win your season championship just because you were there every race, you probably don't need to move up yet.

Ditch the letter system for a beginner, intermediate, and expert class. The fast "c" class riders likely won't be as proud of their beginner trophies.

I raced "30 C" WORCS a couple of years ago after being off of the bike for 15+ years for shits and giggles. Some of those guys should be racing the A or B class. Sandbaggers to say the least. If I get back into it after I have shoulder surgery, I'd race B. There were definitely some squirrely riders in C taking unnecessary risks that nearly took me out on occasion.

This race alone was a sketchy one for me right off the bat LOL

There is nothing worse than C class kids out there scrubbing everything. C class is for beginners. If you can clear all of the jumps then move to B class.

That don't matter a shit! You'll likely find out the A class guys turn that lap time 5 laps in a row- the C class guys pull it off once in twenty minutes.

C class guys always say "there's hardly any difference" until they move up.

In our club, we have three adult classes- you should've read the backlash when I referred to them as 'Fast, intermediate, slow' on social media once!

One way to get people to move out of the C class- Rename it "Beginners & wobblers"!

Rename the A class- Experts.

You'll qucikly see a change in where people want to ride.
