Cooper Webb post about going racing May 15th

I was busy until the last few days. Dealing with a broker out of nyc, there English is not great. My mother is from Europe, so I,m used to accents. Funny I was going to drive for a yr, then go back to michels pipeline or union const. I was bored and on a goof, I jumped in. I pull a reefer trl, usually ch Robinson or who ever for a broker. If the co has no regular freight.

Sorry but I'm going to copy paste this shit direct. There will be no post taken out of context. Hell I'm chopping off Reedy's head so I can capture all of this as it's written. I will not speculate nor will I elaborate beyond this, the CV19 has shut down the World. Feld decided to drop the hammer and go racing this May. I read a lot of Twitter cry babies suggesting, "Waaah, they didn't give us enough time!" And, "We won't be ready!" I hesitated to respond at first because, well, I rant enuf about those dam kids on my lawn. Then I saw this. So i will say this, I love the TwoTwo family. Honestly Chad's a bit of a prick and has probably pissed off and burned more bridges in our industry than most anyone else. But you know what, fuck everyone he's earned his voice. He has carved and earned this path because he is an HoF legend. So when I was going to post in a roar of laughter, that any factory rider with a private SX track and trainer, along with a team of motor, suspension and overall coddling specialists, who cannot be ready to go racing in 30 days, is a joke at best. But the Reedy family has said it all! And just click on the comments to see the rest. The dirt bike World is ready to return. The bad ass riders and the industries hardest working people I have ever known, are ready to deliver for us fans. I am proud of our sport & they will deliver. 💪🏼❤💯 #dirtbikelife

So maybe AC? Could be likely with his collarbone. I don't see Tomac being in the points lead and not staying ready unless he sustained an injury as well. AC is also best friends with Roczen and we know Roczen isn't game to go racing. Also AC has the private SX track and trainer. Doesn't Tomac just train with his dad at his track?

My respect for Cooper Webb just continues to grow. Let's get back to racing!

I just can't see where the possible restart timeline isn't enough time to get ready.

If you're not ready...don't race. Simple as that. Whoever is complaining isn't a champion in my book.

I'll eat my hat if it's Ken or Eli....that just doesn't sound like either of them...if it is...then I'd be pretty disappointed in them.

I do. Someone from my work. 4 in my company have died from it and one from my location in the same position as I am. Mass transit company.

Kenny has every right to his opinion and his stance. 100%. But the US is not New York and this opening is beginning to happen everywhere because very little is happening in most places. Even in states like mine who did the bare minimum when it came to closing. Nothing ever really happened. Hell, even some of New York may be opening up mid-May. Nobody should put any pressure on Kenny to race but the series can't stop for one guy. He may not feel safe for years. The racers by and large keep saying they want it and the fans certainly do. Time to race! I'm sure they would love to have Kenny be a color commentator from a remote bunker somewhere looking like Howard Hughes toward the end or Mr Burns working on the Spruce Moose.

Kenny can easily isolate himself and stay if they go racing. Wear a mask, put on some glasses during track walk. You’ll be fine

Given that the US is still recording about 30,000 new cases of Covid-19 every day and something in the order of 2000 deaths per day then I would like to think from May to June those numbers will start dropping, so his opinion might be right.

My neighbor's cousin's best friend used to work with someone that knows someone in Italy and someone in the office of that person's ex girlfriend knows somebody that supposedly has a neighbor that heard that someone he used to go to school with died from it
So yeah, I do

My point is, as soon as the the flood gates are opened whether it be May or June, the number of cases are going to go up again. The number of confirmed cases doesn’t bother me at all. If you do zero testing you have zero cases, if you do a lot of testing you’ll have a lot of cases. The virus isn’t going to just poof into thin air.

I've worked with two people that died. One directly and one diagnosed post mortem recently, made national news for Ca first victim. Real enough for you? Or just keep denying it's really there.

Potentially yes they could, I agree with you, I just hope they dont Smile In regards to number of confirmed cases dont bother you, it can/will translate into more deaths and more postponement of jobs/sports/etc ...that bothers me Smile

I personally didn’t know him, just heard it from a friend. His old boss died that had tested positive for it. He was in the 380-390 range and drank like a fish according to my friend. Mid 60’s. So he had it, not sure he died from that or his unhealthy lifestyle. Other than that I haven’t heard of anyone in my extended family/friends. One customer said their daughters caught it while snow boarding right at the initial outbreak. They came home, self quarantined and were fine. Basically cons symptoms. These sisters are in their 20’s as healthy as can be.

Seth505....any info on the 38 year old having health issues? That is not good to hear a young mother passing 👎

It wont. June turns into July, then August...the virus will not be gone before the world has to open up and we have all seen how some people are SO dug in to refusing to risk any kind of exposure that it will always be too soon to them. Because people will continue to die there will always be something to point to. If we open up tomorrow or a month from now or a year from now. People will die. I work with a couple of people who are in the high risk category that are close to retirement age that I would be stunned to ever see in person again.

Look, it's not happening in May. If the entire entertainment industry can't get the Gov to allow 60 (min)-100(max) people to work on a set or location we aren't getting 300+ people together in a stadium to race.

Downvote it all you want, but the production budget for just one season of a show like Seal Team, which is around 80 million for 22 episodes is bigger than the entire budget for SX. And that's just one show. I'd even wager the budget for my sitcom is bigger than FELD's budget.

You could be right. I also remember a lot of us being laughed at on here for signing a petition asking to open a certain track up in California. Not gonna happen. Won't make a difference. Wasting your time. All I'm saying is who knows? Not a god damned one of us in reality.

I agree that nobody really knows, but that petition had nothing to do with Counties relaxing certain restrictions, those were across the board. Social distancing by only allowing a certain amount of riders at a 60+ acre facility is a little different animal than running a for profit sporting event that needs a minimum of 300 people to run the show.

Just making a point that we all know money talks and if a business that makes FELD look like a local 7/11 franchise can't pull off going back to work yet, it ain't happening in May. We are inside of 3 weeks away from when they had hoped to get rolling.

Maybe Matthes will have some insight tonight.

All good points. I only mentioned the track petition to illustrate how much we all seem to think we know. The petition certainly didn't get it open but a lot of people basically said tracks in Cali weren't going to open for a long time and it was dumb for anyone to even try. Hell, I thought that as well but signed the petition anyways figuring it at least helped us riders be heard. None of us knows how or when this will happen but you certainly make some solid points. Even if I hope you're wrong.

You make a lot of good points here. I just don't see how Arizona is going to sign off on this with not having a reduction in cases over the past 2 weeks. Plus, I think with the total numbers restriction this might be a bone of contention for some teams. They are used to operating with large entourages. If it ends up being just the rider, mechanic and manager allowed on site this might be enough to put some teams against the plan.

And I just love how this whole thing as turned into: A) The virus is all hype. Open the economy. **R** or Cool Things are going to get a lot worse, we need to stay sheltered **D**. Just totally polarized views. The road back is going to be bumpy, with openings and then scale backs when cases rise in certain areas. Normal is a long way off, hopefully with reasonable and well-thought out plans the world can slowly start to open up some parts of the economy. But finding the balance between economy and public health is going to be challenging for sure. I think we can all agree on that.

Well none right now. 😂

I was doing a CBS show. I had over a year of work lined up with no time off. This whole thing has fucked everything up for a lot of people.

I am as gung ho to get life back together as the next person, and I am dying to see some racing, so we all are in the same boat.

Agreed.... been saying that for some time now. Mother Nature will have her pound of flesh no matter what.

We're going to see a whole lot of people who won't ever go outdoors without a mask again.
