My guess is Honda stopped giving him bikes and/or support and rightfully so. Generally quitting causes that and he was on the same line as Weimer anyway.....shouldn't have been on a factory bike and was basically a fluffer for the real factory guys. I am not saying he wasn't terrific on a bike, but second tier is second tier.

Take a look at the vault and outside a couple years he was hundreds of points off the podium and ended up "around" the top 5 twice. Now Honda owes him and should just continue giving him stuff? I am not "shitting" on Cole and I also think he has great style, love the project bikes he is doing, and am a fan. With that said, posting some cryptic BS like that is ridiculous. If you have something to say, say it.

I didn't have much of an opinion one way or another about Seely until numbergate. I thought it was cool of him to ask KW before taking the 14, but to expect the same when he retired was a bit much. KW had achieved moto godfather status. Even at the end of Seely's career, if you asked me who number 14 was I would have said 'Windham, no wait Seely". His expectation that he had earned the same level of respect soured me on him. Now to badmouth previous sponsors? Well keep digging that hole, Cole. It may be a hit with the young rebel, "Fuck the Man" crowd, but doesn't really resonate with people who are deciding if they want him to be a part of their future plans.

I dont like Seely beacuse of him and hes crew helped Tickle ”steal” Eli’s lights west title in 2011...

Watch the 2011 west final.
In the full broadcast those three stopped after the final and highfived each other...like mission completed...
Not really a Tomac fan but that was not cool.

You're saying a guy typically running 5th thru 10th shouldn't be on a factory bike and is a fluffer. That's just plain stupid. Every single year theres 5 guys or less with a realistic chance at winning races or the title. So are you one of the people who bag on the next group of guys then will turn around and say there arent enough factory rides? If you are then you're a hypocrite. And if you think those few guys should be the only ones on factory bikes then you aren't very bright.

I dont really care for the cryptic tweet either. I dont feel honda owes him anything. They paid him nicely while he worked for them. However you saying he was a fluffer and didn't deserve a factory ride is where I take issue. He absolutely 100% deserved a factory bike.

What Ii said is he was on the same level as Weimer. They deserve factory rides if there were 4 bikes maybe, but a factory Honda rider he was not. I look at factory Honda as Stanton/Bayle/Johnson etc, not a guy chasing privateers or support teams the majority of the time. Good for him to have provided value to Honda all those years and they saw that value. Their business, not mine.

Well, maybe they Did require him to return it.

Wasn't 'given', but lent to him?

That, would be fair enough.

It's their Property, one would assume.

And, something that may be fairly special to them, that they may not want to end up seeing up on EBay, down the track.

Maybe they've also asked for other items of theirs back, too?

Fair enough, as well.

He's always seemed to be a pretty good bloke, I do hope this is no more than a storm in a teacup, or, a bit of a shit stir.
He still has the factory motor.

You are digging a hole for yourself. You should probably just stop now. I'm gonna assume you only want each team to have one factory rider then. 1 at Honda, 1 at kawi, 1 at yamaha, 1 at suzuki, 1 at husky and 1 at KTM. So by your logic only 6 guys deserve a true factory ride (even though there are more factory level teams.) Now if each of those teams have 2 riders (most do, minus suzuki currently) then that equals 12 "factory" rides according to your definition. Cole was clearly a top 12 finisher. Theres nothing you can say to deny that. I can accept that you dont like him. I really dont care, that's not the point. But you're just plain ignorant if you think he didn't deserve a factory ride. He was out there battling with some of the best riders in the series yet you dont think he deserved a factory ride. Pinch

Like most drama in our little sport...we'll probably never get a straight answer from anybody. There are likely those here who know exactly what Cole is upset about, but will never tell. Just like the real story behind Dungey suddenly stepping away from the Geico Honda deal.

Why do we need off the track drama? This is a sport, not a soap opera.

Every sport has it's share of drama. When people, personalities, egos & emotions are involved, that's a product.

It's a personal situation between those involved. Theres no reason it needs to be brought to the public eye. Handle it amongst each other like adults. You would be absolutely shocked how much drama goes on behind the scenes of a NFL or MLB team. More often than not that drama stays within the facility and the fans never hear of it. Most drama with thos bigger sports are created and over blown by the media.

I totally understand, that it absolutely should be a personal situation between those involved. But as small as this sport is, you're always gonna have it out in the open...if guys like Seely want it that way, dropping social media bombs when he should have just kept his "mouth" shut and handled it himself...but he didn't. He wants to stir it up. Shows a huge lack of maturity if you ask me.

Clearly the guy needs attention. He’s not a factory rider anymore. He is using social media to grow his presence and no doubt help monetize it. Just like the Kardashians. It’s a different world out there.

That it is. This guy buys up marginal properties for rentals and documents his projects on Youtube for an additional income stream. Here, he is making money off of a video about money he made off of another video...Laughing

It is worth a watch. Who couldn't use an extra 5, 10, 15 grand a month??

I know tickle is not proud of that race, he has said so in a interview. (I don’t remember which one) Tickle also said he had a lot of people telling him that he was the worst champion in the history of the sport.
