Suzuki restyle kit or stock?

I'm in a predicament of keeping stock plastics or getting the restyle kit, I have noticed the stock plastic slowing fading away with everyone either getting restyle kits or cutting the side number plates, if I keep stock there's definitely not cutting but i do currently have the rmz updated front number plate and fender. Your input is appreciated and would be a huge help. So let me know what you guys think either way I'll be getting graphics to go with. Thanks

The restyled rear fender on my set keeps popping out of place when mud gets accumulated underneath.

I think you guy have me on the stock, the restyle kit doesn't look terrible but it's the graphics that make that kit. I think I'll save the extra 125.00 and buy something else for the bike and just get graphics for the stock plastic.

I agree, the graphics make or break the restyle kit. Check out Burnworth's bike, his looks really good. I shot some photos of him and posted it in this thread:

Those Last of the Suzuki two strokes still look surprisingly modern for the last cosmetic update coming from 2001, any other bike from 2001 looks old

Honda and suzuki are pretty close I'd say.. but I appreciate all your input, I think I'll be sticking with the stock and updated front end.

It's a matter of taste. I am on the restyle bandwagon currently, but a clean, oem looking zook with rmz front fender/plate is a good looking bike also.

Everytime I see a restyled Zook I think it's someone with a yellow yamaha...

It was a classic shape, I like them how they were.

The stock look is best, imo. Although someone on here slightly trimmed their stock side panels and I think that looked pretty decent for no cost.

I always thought it looked like a Yamaha too.
I’ve always liked the look of that era Zook tho so my vote would be stock. Not a huge fan of the pointed shroud

Yeah that can work but I bet it’s hard to get a nice shape too!

It was a great looking bike, ahead of its time in 01 style wise and held up great.

Suzuki has a cash cow sitting there if they pumped those and RM150s our.

So here it is guys, went with stock plastic and updated front end. Few more things need done to it and still waiting on my seat cover to come in and itll be ready to rip.

Appreciate this post. I like the latest look.
Near this topic, does anyone have a solution for updating the previous gen RM styling?
There is a 99' RM125 in my future and I'm looking for a way to update that old bird. Not a fan of the dippy seat and droopy fender. Yes, those are the OEM technical terms...Woohoo

When they first came out I was throthin on the idea of upgrading my RM to a more modern look.. but now Im not so sure. These bikes a turning into classics, and you don't mess with classics.

What Im not a big fan of is the older plastics with new school graphics, think they look way better with a bit more of a retro vibe... Mine still has a set of the DC graphics from Pastrana's double backie. haha

Haha yeah the restyle kit is something different, and takes a good set of graphics to make them actually look good. And I agree 100% dont mess with the classics, 2 strokes are a high demand now, finding a good clean one is hard to come by. And the retro vibe is sweet. Depending what your considering new school vibe, a nice clean stock 2 stroke is just simply straight badass.
