Big Ten tourney was supposed to kick off today in Indy. They just cancelled it completely. And it was supposed to be played with no fans. Doesn't look good for SX. I would expect Detroit to be done at this point.
Feld already has Detroit for the Monster Trucks this weekend. https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/local/2020/03/12/monster-jam-still-…

No! It happened in 2004 in the outdoor 125 class due to Troy round being canceled.

1 race at the end is quite a bit different than almost half of the series.

Well, RC had wrapped up the title, but I'm sure Hughes would have like to have the chance at those extra points. Hughes "finished" 7 points back of Langston for the 125 title.

How about scouring available venues and picking back up in september.

Even if it is Nascar tracks that would be awesome.

Continue with the 2020 series and in conjunction start a new series that could be called the "trans-ama" series.

Of course the way things have changed since the old trans-ama series ended that name could add an entirely new, under served demographic in motorsports.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

What’s the NBC broadcast team going to do without the crowd roar to tell them something exciting just happened while we watch the 7th place rider roll around by himself?

If you're driving to this race, go home. No point in wasting your time or money, you're not getting in.

This is fuckin wild. Everything is getting cancelled/happening in empty stadiums for every sport.

Schools closing, cruises shutting down for months, travel bans, businesses closing, stock market tripping circuit breakers.

Thats coming. No way they hold any race event this weekend. Nascar, Moto, ect.

We just got told to work from home until end of April. More time to finish spring time projects!

What if they made up for lost rounds by having 2 or 3 shorter mains on the same night? Like a triple crown event, but scored separately.

More than likely, not that long a drive from Florida

Also probably part of the reason they're gonna run in an empty house

Just came home and have to read this. Damn, that sucks ass. It's still pretty normal here in germany apart from people buying all toilet paper for some reason. No schools closed yet, everyone is still going to work.

For people who live in the upcoming sx race states, is there still sx races to come which include fans at all? Is it possible that Indy or Detroit might be the last sx race of the year? I mean I read news n stuff but since I don't live in the US my perspective is pretty much limited at this point.

Football games (soccer) here for example will still take place, just without fans. But I can't imagine sx making any profit without fans at all?

If they're going to have no spectators at the races... why not just hold the rest of the races at JS7's house? Smile
