What if I don't own a KTM? Do I buy a KTM and do the conversion? Or do I wait, and just get the GasGas? Can't leave out important details like that.

Instructions not clear, got my nuts caught in the chain guard.

Haha, not angry. Just disappointed. There are now three brands in MXGP that are actually all the same. Variety is the spice of life.

Hoping KTM will be a bit more adventurous with GASGAS than they have been with Husky in the MX market. Away from MX, Husky does have a different flavor with their machinery.

I think the red and grey would look great together... I just think they missed it a little going all red.

I think Red was a bad choice.... Hondas are red.

...and as for the name. GasGas....stupid. GasGas is something you get from a gnarly burrito.

What impact does the red conversion have on resale?

What did you expect? That the Hoff was going to jump on a completely different bike the day before the first gp to do battle with the likes of Cairoli, Herlings and Gajser?

Pretty obvious that this first year was going to be a red ktm.

They did the same thing first year of Husky. Production bike for 21 could be different a little or maybe in 22. By 22 I’m sure it will have at least slightly different shaped plastics. The frame motor and swingarm will all be the same though.

Someone should put a husky front fender/plate, orange KTM redbull shrouds, and a red sideplates/rear fender on a bike. Frankenstein it.Sick

Doesn’t Husky use a different swingarm?

Who cares???? KTM is investing in the sport far beyond any other OEM. Look at the number of Teams and riders here and we should all applaud them for the jobs they are creating for riders/mechanics etc and how deep they are going into a sport that is arguably dying.

The first Husky models under KTM at least looked somewhat different. Even still they aren't all that different so I was hoping for a little more variation for the GasGas.

There are lots of KTM lovers and I get it as I have a 150SX myself but the unveiling of the new GasGas bike was disappointing to me.

I think their name must make more sense in another language. It must get lost in translation.
My best friend is part Hungarian, and he has a cousin named "Huba." (sounds like "Tuba.") I'm sure in Hungary, it's as cool-sounding as "Luke" or "Dylan," but in 1980s America, I thought it was Eastern European for "Dork."

These aren't the first Gas Gas models.

They might not have created new jobs, but they sure saved a lot of them by buying out the company.

KTM buying GasGas is a great thing.

Too bad they didn't buy ATK before they ceased dirt bike production. Cool

Give them time. They just acquired the company. Do you honestly think they can develop a brand new bike in a few months time? No.

Look at the bigger picture. Keeping a company from going bankrupt helps the sport of motorcycling.

Sure, in its current form it's a red KTM. That said, the guys that have ridden both the Husky and the KTM say it's different. I'm sure it'll be the same for GasGas come 2021 or 2022.

Shit doesn't get done overnight.

Chevy and GMC is the same base truck. Is that a bad thing?

Gas Gas already had production bikes. Why discontinue what they had going only to replastic yet, another KTM? Kills every single ounce of wanting one for me. I dont like riding KTM's, rode a GG at our trail network last year, was going to make the trip to Alabama to try and get one this summer. Now? Nope. Get another YZ

Stopping any company that is actively in the sport, from going under, is a positive for the sport. How is this not viable to you?

I'm a native Spanish speaker. There's no translation needed for the word gas. I like how it sounds with correct Spanish accent but I get your point. If you pronounce it in English, it's odd.
