Does Malcolm Stewart and Vince Friese deserve a factory ride?

These two are arguably the most consistent non-factory riders in the 450 class. Given, they are on a very (if not the most) supported team. If their results for this season lie as is, would their results justify a 2021 SUPERCROSS (not outdoors) season factory ride? Would a factory ride actually make them progress in the stacked class?

I would like to see factory honda supply with more parts. Similar to how they were Brayton last year, or do how KTM is with Rocky Mt. Ktm.

I dont think anything about the Smartop/MCR Honda team is holding either of these 2 back, they’ve got really good equipment, team manager, staff and an owner willing to do what is necessary.

The only way I think the team could help the riders progress more is partaking in the outdoors.

They may be deserving, but doesn't mean there are factory rides to offer.

I dont think anything about the Smartop/MCR Honda team is holding either of these 2 back, they’ve got really good equipment, team manager, staff and an owner willing to do what is necessary.

The only way I think the team could help the riders progress more is partaking in the outdoors.
My thought is if something isn't broken then why fix it. I'd like to see them partake in outdoors as well.

I believe Bogle is in the right place right now. The Rocky team seems to fit his talent level as of right now perfectly. However, he is dealing with a chronic fatigue draining illness that prevents him from his full potential. Stewart will get more help if he continues to perform this level. Factory ride will give him just more everything in good and bad so right now he seems to be in right spot and can focus on training and racing.

But unless it’s a fill in tide he would have to do outdoors.

If they raced outdoors, I doubt Honda would have the budget to be able to provide them the same level of support that they get in supercross. Supercross sells bikes and t-shirts in America. That is the OEMs' and other brands focus. Just look at a rider's bonus money indoors and out. When I was working for a goggle company, our win bonus was twice for supercross what it was for an overall outdoors, and that was in 2010.

Imo a factory rider needs to ride sx and mx. Unless you have been an established rider with a great career.

What are they lacking anyway? I know they have factory suspension.....what else do they need, a factory transmission?
From what I've heard in podcasts, their XPR engines are really good.
