I got sick last Thursday and started my Leave/flight home on Friday. I was so bummed, but I took DayQuil during the day/NyQuil at night, plus vitamin C and Pedialyte. I felt fine by Saturday morning thank God. Sorry you’re sick man!

We hung Buzz/Woody on my dad’s gladiator and rode over to the coast today

My little guys 6th birthday was on the 18th. Me and him both came down with a terrible stomach bug. I felt horrible for him. He couldn't even get out of bed and we had to cancel his birthday party. We had a nice place rented out with an indoor swimming pool and it all got scrapped. We were able to make it up to him this morning by putting pics of my wife's sonogram in a stocking. Hes super excited to be getting a little brother or sister. It's all hes been talking about since this morning.

Jeff I'm really sorry you feel like crap, hang in there. My day was good, I have my son home from school for the better side of a month, so I've gotten all I wanted. Had the whole family over for way too much food from the smoker, drinks, laughter, and funny stories from Christmas past. In a sense though I'm kinda glad it's over, being the family handyman I've worked my ass off this last month putting various projects together for everyone and I'm exhausted! I was given a stack of gift cards from everywhere, so I'm gonna grab the laptop tomorrow and buy me some happy. Plus enjoy my new Apple TV while I drink all afternoon.......

Dang guy's , I just wanted to say thanks for telling me a bit about your Christmas. I missed out due to being sick , and being single to boot. Doesn't leave me very many options. I'm ok with it , and it's pretty cool seeing what you guys were able to. Some great pics and awesome stories , kinda made my night. Hope to get to feeling better in a few days or so. Those times when we get struck down by some bad cold / flu...... really takes it out of you. Hard to stay interested in holidays when you can barely get off the couch.

Merry Christmas, Jeffro!
I went down with a flu or something last weekend. My nose feels like I got punched in a face. Luckily got better a day before Christmas and was able to go get my kids. My boys got an outside basketball board and my girlfriend got some mega expensive cosmetics. Never knew that stuff cost so much, lol.

Hope you turn the corner and start to feel better soon.

Xmas is my favourite day of the year, love spending time with the family, g’son makes it so special. Everybody calm in control, no grumpyness allowed. Glad I’m not the only one having fun with Lego!!!

We got (not so) little guy new MTB and gear for when weather gets better here.

Flew Mom out, last trip out here. She's 81 doesn't get around well and can't remember past 5 minutes ago. Ran to get my load for today, as I left(1:15pm) she had a sandwich in front of her. I said .. don't eat too much I'll be cooking by 2:30. I get home 2:15 no sandwich... hmmmm. Mom I was going to start dinner in a bit are you hungry? ... "well I had a sandwich about three hours ago and I'm not really hungry". Frozen pizza. Awesome.

Do get to spend time with her till the 11th so that's a blessing. I'll miss her when she's gone for sure. Just tough seeing her like this.

Had a van pull out in front of me while riding a street bike yesterday.... I laid it down and hit the pavement about 35.... Driver kept on going, never saw me at all..... I am relatively fine except for some road rash here and there.... Makes for a sweet Christmas (sigh)....

For you guys that only ride dirt, you Really don't wanna crash on pavement, that shit is Hard...

Me and my wife both were fighting off a shitty cold through christmas. But still had a good time. Got to ride on Sunday, track was perfect too.

Picked this little turkey up last week:




Double smoked this ham and got to see my folks Christmas Eve.



Fried up some doughnuts christmas morning :D



Reflecting how I have to work nightshift tonight. Really wish everyone had off from 24th through the first monday of the new year..... Oh well thankful for what I have. Get well Jeff and Merry Christmas!

Man I am so sorry to hear about Mom. Not trying to derail the thread, but I am going through the same thing with my Aunt. She has really gone downhill this last 8 months or so, and now has had to be placed in assisted living. She never had kids of her own, so us kids were "hers" so to speak. She attended sooooo many of our races growing up, even going to Ponca every year we were there for the entire week. We stayed at the track, she stayed in town at the same Hotel room 11 years straight. We raced all day, then she would take us to her hotel to swim and be kids, spoiling us rotten every chance she got. Her mind is slipping fast now, to the point she doesn't even know who I am anymore. We brought her here to spend Thanksgiving with all of us, and she was a wreck. She was in constant fear because she was surrounded by a large group of people, and only recognized one or two of us. I can't lie, that was one of the worst days of my life. If there is a positive, her health is relatively good for her being 90, and in her mind she thinks she is in her fav place, New Orleans, based on the decor of her new home. It makes her happy, so that keeps me at a somewhat moderate level of contentment. Always remember the good times, cherish the time we still have, and make it as pleasant as we possibly can for them. That's all you can do man, hang in there.

Man , I had to come back in here and just say thanks again for last night. Honestly cheered me up , seeing / reading what you guys were up to for the holidays. Haha.....I bet you are correct! Btw D , I'm going in , in a few weeks to get fitted for my wetsuit. I held off on getting my goggles , because I'm going to get my eyes checked to see if I can get and afford Lasik. I have everything else already picked out. So heck yeah..... we'll be slaying here before to Long.

I gotta do the same and get a better wet suit myself for cold water. My suit is good during the summer on the Puget Sound. Colder months, not gonna happen. It was 28 degrees here this morning .
