The Saturday night SX race threads here on Vital. The banter in those is almost entirely from folks who understand the sport and enjoy discussing with similars.

Racing the Midwest VMX Race of Champions in Byron, IL in Sep with 4 buddies from work on a 74 Bultaco that I had bought on Craigslist 4 months prior and got running with the help of my dad 1 week before the race.

We pulled 4th out of 13 teams with 2 guys that don't ride much, and 3 guys riding their "race" bikes for the first time that weekend.

Already excited to get prepped for next year!

My first ride coming back from deployment was special. Rode some trails with my dad in northern Wisconsin and realized on a greater level how great America really is.

In my last full season of racing, managing to ride only 2 MX events.. MX Rewind at Unadilla and VMXdN at Farleigh, as well as pulling a full season of German Sipermoto. 10 race weekends in 5 countries. And our GB 'reserve' team of Simpson, Watson and Sterry getting on the podium in Assen.
And getting to interview Chuck Sun at Mettet Superbiker.
I’m really hoping that the thumbs down on this one is from someone who’s bummed it’s your last season racing, because those sound like awesome memories to me.

My favorite moto memory of 2019 was getting roosted by Marvin Musquin.

Cooper Web passing Roczen in Arlington on the last turn. It was directly in front of me.

The crowd blew up and it was crazy.
I was fortunate to be there, it was a great race and fun to watch.

This photo of my son Ethan on the right. A few weeks after he was winning motos at a Loretta Lynn regional last year he was diagnosed with leukemia. Did not go to the national. Instead he started 9 months of weekly chemo. He is in remission, and in "maintenance" treatment now once a month. Hopefully he will be riding soon and have another shot at the ranch.

This past weekend he shot video of a race I promoted at Lone Star MX in Austin and should have a rad edit out soon. It was awesome to have him back at the track!

Much love and positve, healthy life vibes sent to your son.

Herlings winning in latvia, after breaking his foot (again) on the parade lap was quite special.
