Any more in pro racing if you have to try to make a triple. You are already to slow.

He's got 2.5 more weeks to prepare.

His whoop speed alone is enough to preclude him from making the night show

Dude is a badass MTB rider. Good dirtbike rider too. The intensity, the nerves that are part of A1, and the fact he has to figure out the course in a couple of short timed practices makes me think he doesn't have a chance. Still cool to see him try.

The guy is a total stud...fun to watch his stuff, and I'm sure he's super cool to hang out with.

I am in no way a naysayer...the guy has balls of steel. That being said, I'm actually worried about him. SX is a meat grinder...I hope he can make it through safe, whether he qualifies or not. No margin for mistakes at all in the stadiums....

Oops didn't mean to post twice.
Cools story, my first thought was who do you gotta know to ride the king's bike for a week.

Here's the A1 entry list so far.

I would have thought that the Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda teams would have entered their guys in all at the same time. Seems odd that they each only have 1 entered right now.

Someone must be updating the entries right now because Barcia just popped up also.

Cool to see him progress. In that recent video getting the timing down for the rhythm section. Single, over table, triple, on-off. It would take me all day to hit that line. Kudos

Sadly, the entire A group would do that second lap of the first practice session. He is nowhere near qualifying speed if he can't do that easily.

Two local boys!! Let's go Jake and Travis!

What he needs at A1 are some big ass bowl turns that he can really lay it over in and rail em.

Riding and racing.... they're two different things.

I think he would be shocked at how fast local B riders are, let alone the guys in the night show at a supercross. He's a beast on a bicycle and appears to be a decent B level rider at moto. Still not bad.

I'm seriously impressed at the improvement on day two, even though he seemed completely freaked out in the morning.

Props to him for at least trying. My only concern is that he is able to get out of bed on his own the day after A1. He's bad ass on a Mtb. Would be ashame to give all that up because of a silly bet with your bro.
Makes me think of Mike Cinqmars.
Good luck, and may the force be with you.

One thing he learned perfectly. Low gear. More practices, more speed/rpm, and he has some potential

There are rules to stop this happening, if they have been circumvented , and it all turns to shit, who pays ? We have to. Insurance is a nightmare already, this is just risk for risks sake.

I'm literally amazed at the amount of people bitching about this. Same people that pride themselves as 'motocrossers who aren't PC and don't take no shit from nobody and we're a tough sport where those who can do it do it'.

Yet moaning and groaning in here about 'ooooh it's not faaaaair'.

Yes, it is fair. The guy followed the rules as they were outlined, is giving it a go, and if he makes it he makes it. If he doesn't, no big deal.

Also hilarious as "The sport is dying! Won't anyone think of the sport! Why is it dying!' people are ignoring the fact here is a top tier athlete from another sport (a bigger sport might I add) bringing fresh eyeballs to MX...

Good luck BK. I'll be rooting for ya.

Nice guy... who has nothing to do on track at A1.
Hope he gets out unhurt.

Awesome that he's giving it a shot, looks like he's got the balls to hit the features. Just lacking the speed and endurance.

He's got the jumping off the side of the track on lock. Maybe Fly, Monster, FIM, Europe, youtube and the UK can get Feld to wait until after practice to put the tuffblocks on the track.

What the hell does this have to with insurance besides his own and what do you care, he is British?

There are some dicks on this website.

If one of the top moto guys tried a different sport everyone would be gargling their nuts.

How many people typically try and qualify at A1? 50? 60? 70? If only 45 guys show up, then he only has to ride faster than 5 other guys.

Good question. I’m sure there would be more if you could just make a phone call and get a license.

God there are some haters with a loser mentality on here.

Hes got an FIM pro licence, not his fault that he got one.

Hes got skills and and set of balls for trying this, who cares if he fails. He's bringing more exposure to our sport and showing how badass it is. Yeah by watching the videos he doesnt look the greatest, but still looks better than other guys i've seen in C practice before.
