Listen Bro, if this helps. I've had 6 concussions from skateboarding, snowboarding, bicycles, and motocross where I had to get checked out by paramedics and or Dr.

Unfortunately I have quite a few other times I was knocked dingy but never went to the Dr.... My dumbass is doing ok, so you're going to be OK.

Glad your head is apparently thicker than the average humans but not everyone is you bro
My experience seemed to make you angry. That wasn't my intention bro. Hope you're all good now.

Damn dude, sending the triple on a demo bike? I know it's easy for me to say after the fact and behind the keyboard, but it sounded like that was the first ride. You only got 2 laps and it looked like your first one wasn't even a sight lap. Heal up and decide then if you're gonna hang 'em up.

I think you are being over dramatic dude.

I can see a couple of things that lead to this crash
1) It's a brand new bike that is completely different from what you usually ride and you are trying to put in a hot lap on your second lap on it. Take your rmz to the same track on the same day and 99% chance you don't even tip over. Plus, you weren't revving it when you flat landed, my 7 year old knows to do that.

2) Put the go pro away and ride for fun instead of likes. Trying out a new bike while worrying about looking good for your legions of followers is gonna end bad. When I'm at the track a good rule of thumb is to avoid the guys with go pro's as most of the time they are goons trying to look stylish for the camera. In fact, I think this thread is an attempt at getting more views on your channel. That crash was was nothing and you're going to quit because of it? I don't think so
I almost always have my go pro. Its just fun to rewatch. Never know when a fun battle will happen or when you'll really nail a corner!

I agree that OP is probably being dramatic and also just looking for vlog views (it worked!)

But i'll take the bait...if you're serious about quitting MX, with a family to support thats probably a good idea. But you don't have to quit DIRT BIKES all together. You live in Utah!! Get a 300 KTM and go enjoy that world-class single track

On another note, what happens if you completely destroy a demo bike? Do they hand you a bill afterwards?

The real problem is we old and can't take a hit as we used too...

The reason is that we work 5-6 days a week are lacking fitness and flexibility in our bodies.

I've actually stopped riding for 4 years now but I would be lying that I don't want to ride again. so I'm pretty sure I'll be back at it in a few months.

My brother cased the back triple at Millville on a KTM demo bike and went over the bars. The bike came around and hit him which actually broke his back in 3 places. It was the first time he had ridden a 250f/450f (I forget which one he crashed on) and I guess he didn’t realize the amount of natural engine braking they have compared to his 125 2T. So he brakes throttle and went to coast of the face of the jump and the engine braking caused his body weight to shift the front of the bike and you can see how the rest happened.

The bike looked banged up but they never charged him. This was like 12 years ago though, they may have changed the policies by now. Grinning

Inexperienced riders on demo bikes is always a recipe for disaster.

Sounds like you have a little toddler in the background of the video at times. Spend time with her while she wants to spend time with you. The years fly by. Bikes will still be around in the future if you change your mind.

Shows how sad the off season is when we are discussing this lame ass shit! Wannabe runs out of ‘talent’ riding an easy2ride 4stroke boo hoo walk it off!

Listen to the video. He was off the gas when he landed. Best thing to do when OJ, is to land on the gas and get your momentum going forward not down.

I’m 33 have been riding since I was 6, as soon as my daughter was born a lot of fear set in my mind. It’s definitely a different scenario when you have a little one that depends on you. Good luck with whatever you decide.

There definitely was a lot wrong in that flight and landing!
Looked like he was so far behind the bike had he landed on the gas it mighta been worse, panicking causes so much to go wrong!

Exactly! Nothing wrong riding at 70-80% to increase your chances of going home safe. Doubles are just as much fun as triples if you lie to yourself long enough.

I have a few buddies who have all quit riding from crashes. 99% are because they send it much hard then their skills allow. So when things go wrong, they don't have the skills to ride out of it. Not saying that the OP is that, just see that happening a lot.

I still ride, I’ll always ride. Lately I have been having fun even just messing around trail riding. Like you said it is what you make of it really. This guy in the video will be back I almost guarantee it haha

Man, the whole angle of clout chasing on social media had never even occurred to me... that would be lame as hell if that's what this comes down to.

Like Decoster said on the Whiskey Throttle Show when asked why he liked motocross... "You can't fake it..."

I completely agree! But you know how it is man. It's so hard for people, especially men, to set aside their egos and not try to huck that triple they use to do, or let their buddy go by that has been riding 5x more than you have been.
