I’ve been spending a lot more time in the Portland area lately since my girls moved down that way. My younger daughter is in Beaverton and my oldest is in the Alphabet District in Portland near 23rd. May have to try one of them Rock Crabs one of these days.....
I hear ya , and if I could catch king crab here I would. But we get some big Dungeonous crab well over 7"+ , and lots of meat. And these big rock crab can pretty much fill your hand with meat you can get out of just one claw / arm. I can get 12 Dungey's a day and 20 Rock crab , along with 72 mucsles......it's like heaven on earth filling my pie hole with this stuff. Makes it even better when you catch it.

Took me a day, but after re-reading this thread, I think I get this initial lobster reference in context. Hard to tell if I’ve ever had a great lobster as it’s usually intertwined with our wedding anniversary, etc. Understandably, I have other things on my mind for later. Wink Like a good BBQ’d pork chop. Coals not gas with some Kinders seasoning.

Wife ordered it at a restaurant where they pluck the poor bastards out of the aquarium for all to see. When that poor fuck showed up at the table after being boiled to death I couldn’t hardly gag down my dinner.
