He was absolutely flying at the end there.

The biggest difference Cooper is making is being on it right from the start. Practice he went out and was charging way earlier than anyone else. In that race he pulled an amazing start and was charging right away. Vlaanderen was catching him once he got into second, but it took him far too long to get going. That could make a big difference tomorrow because there could be 4 or 5 450 riders between them if the same happens.
I agree. He looks like isn't intimidated and is out there to throw down every lap.

Too bad DF stole the #14 from JCooper as the #14 is looking good on JC this MXDN weekend...

He laid it all out there at WW ranch this summer in the heat and humidity, I think he’ll manage.

He had a 10 second lead, going through lapped traffic, it’s safe to say he probably backed it down.....

Japanese guys taking people out again!
2016 flashbacks Blink
Best case scenario they aren't in the final tomorrow Tongue
Looked like the old man Akira Narita was down in that first moto, so that will probably be the case.

Quite possibly. But once Vlaanderen was into 2nd the gap was coming down fairly consistently.

Cooper was really impressive though, Im not trying pretend otherwise.

Vlaanderens lap times dropped too, just not as much.

Could well be. But by the same token, Vlaanderen had kind of done his job and had no real reason to push either. 2nd from him secured a good qualifying for NED.

Why was everything “big time” with him? Lol. Today’s his big day. Where’s he at?

Jeezus... Looking at those lap times, Loots is going to say Cooper was tired after 5 laps. ROFL

I do not think it is so hard to see for any reasonable minded person that although Justin won the qualifying race, it is only the qualifier. I think he understands that tomorrow things will be a bit tougher, and he will need to bring more to the actual races then what he did here, which is probably the reason for his comments. He knows they were coming and tomorrow it will be a longer race. I do not think they are under any illusions and things will have to go well for the Team to podium here. I think they can do it, but there are still the actual races to run.

He’s our most proven MXoN rider of the lot and has veteran experience, he’s just very up and down unfortunately. Let’s hope we do get him at his GP winning sand form, for sure!

From previous years this years assens looks a lot of packed sand and less soft deep stuff. Whether that’s down them having to seal it to keep the rain off I’m not sure

I don't get creating 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ... accounts.

You got the boot for a reason. Isn't that enough of a hint?
