Maybellin Racing? Vidal Sassoon Team MX? Pantene Factory Support?

Michael, if any of your riders didn’t earn a national number you should encourage them run #512.

I predict Jacob Hayes is one of the riders.
Jacob Hayes has signed a deal, but not with what I’m doing. I am however helping him with some product.

I hope the GP riders you are talking about is Darian Sanayei. He's a great hard working kid, who has tons of speed, but due to sickness this year hasn't shown much.

Yeah, that’s what I heard which is why I guessed with ML. West coast SX only on something other than a Yamaha. Seemed like it could be a possibility. A shot in the dark. Shot and a miss.

Congrats ML512.... I admire the courage and ballls it took to do what you have done for the past 2 years. Stepping outside your comfort zone, taking a huge gamble on yourself is way more than most people are willing to do. And now starting a Westcoast team??? That’s gnarly!! Best of luck and I can’t wait to buy some merch!!
Would love to see Deegan Vonlossberg #427 or Justin Hoeft get a shot Wink

Damn, first the kid buys bikes at retail for his own 450 test and pisses off the establishment, and then starts a supercross race team?

Pretty impressive I must say.

Good Luck Michael, now just don't let those sponsors get behind with sending the checks, they tend to do that in this sport...

...and remember to have fun.

Yeah kudos to Michael. He's doing a great job.

But I don't think he paid retail.

I said something similar in another thread about how JGR seems to be awful at finding sponsors compared other teams and got flamed. But it’s the truth. They fucking suck at it. You give any other team 18 months to find a sponsor and they do it no problem. Not JGR, though.

The difference in money being spent on what I’m planning and what is needed to operate there, is pretty big. I can get away with much, much less. But I’m setting out to accomplish a different end goal to what they are.

I’m actually thinking about explaining my budget in a video after we get rolling. I think it would be interesting to show people how much I’m stretching the ole dollar.

A friend of mine wrenches for Deegan, sounds like he just picked up some fresh Yamahas for next season.

I think I’ve only spoken with Hoeft maybe once before, geez he’s been through a lot...

I didn’t pay MSRP 😂 but it still cost a pretty penny...And now I’m doing it again. My wallet and credit card will be very happy when Shootout is over. Maybe by the time we get to December I’ll be able to afford to buy a Christmas present.

I gotta split my time wisely, or at least attempt to, because as of right now...the race team won’t make me a dime. Hoping for some new subscribers though. Smile

That would be fascinating.

Another thought would be to sell virtual VIP passes for the season. I would pay good money for you to do a members-only live feed during track walk and another one post-practice talking about how the track is shaping up, what changes you're making to the bikes, what you're seeing from other riders' bike setup, etc. Throw in a live-feed of your radio communication during the race and you'll have fans more focused on your guys than just about anyone else.

I had some insight to the birth of a SX team many many many moons ago in another life... big budget, bigger plans, biggger names, bigggger sponsors, biggggest egos, and........ was a massive flop. That said, I love the way ML is pursuing this. Seems like a level head at the helm, realistic expectations, and just an overall good dude. Now, I don't know ML personally, but from what I gather he is vastly different from those I knew back in the day, which is a good thing. Those attributes and a new way of pursuing things with a young and fresh approach could lead to big things. Lets face it, lots of older guys will be moving on, and ML certainly appears to be a contender to fill in those gaps. I wish you the best ML.

First- my hats off to you ML512. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve. This is as genuine as it comes; if you need any help from me hit me up anytime. I'd gladly volunteer time to help you out.

For the live feed.....I thought about selling this package to teams quite a bit, its a difficult sell because a lot of teams have a "few" things they don't want the public/sponsors to see. You would need to hire a full time guy to film and stream the "safe" stuff. haha.

However, if done correctly and still giving the paying fan a great insight to the race day, this is a fantastic idea.
