Agree, I can only play in first person also.

They did such a GREAT job with these tracks. So well made. I can't wait for the rest of them! Standing ovation!

I do wish the ai wasnt so crazy though. I smoke them on medium and then run the same pace as them on hard, but they run into me and make me crash almost every corner. And they are all so close together. So you can go from 3rd to 16th in 2 seconds if you crash or an ai punts you off the track. They also seem to have more power. Like going up horse power hill I can never match their speed even though the power on my bike is set to maximum. I would love to race against people more realistically. Wish there was a lobby for that.

I skipped it to the 10:30 mark, but this was just too cool not to share. Beyond excited to see the edits that will emerge out of this. Most underrated feature of this most recent update.

Is there a way to fully upgrade the bikes without having to put hours into the game?

So I picked up the controller and played this game again after not touching it since the first couple of updates. Have to say, I'm still not that thrilled about it. It's still fundamentally broken...
-The game guiding you along the track by bumping/floating your rider over a few feet at times is seriously still the biggest WTF. Why are they doing this?
-The bike sometimes having a gyro effect in the air and then at other times having no gyro effect at all is probably biggest annoyance for me.
-I wish you couldn't just start flipping/spinning your bike all over the place halfway through a jump, it's ruins the fluid feeling of riding a dirt bike and mainly makes the bike feel weightless or there is zero gravity. I dislike that you can make your guy do double backflips/barrel rolls off most jumps. I think Reflex had a good balance of control of the bike in the air and not having it feel weightless.
-Turbo boost clutch, pogo stick suspension, preload and just twitchy feeling in general make it hard to want to play the game at all.

That being said, I'll probably pick up the national DLC to spin some laps and support them but man, I thought you guys said the game was updated and fixed.
I totally agree. DO NOT bother to download the, DLC AMA Tracks. The bike still, "floats" and feels disconnected. The whole physics issue is still the issue! The lack of feedback from the controls is frustrating. ( I am using an XBOX ONE Elite controller) and the bike, "pogos" on the track and in turns. I really want to like this game. But it just seems the physics engine is broken for the game play. Why they do not go back and use the engine of, Reflex and tweak it is beyond me...

I see several posts that the game plays better in, 1st person. I have played all previous titles in, 3rd person and never had an issue until they switched to the, "Unreal 4" engine.

I believe in-game earned race money is the only way.....That means you have to spend time racing series. Isn't that the point of owning the game?

Vic,

I see several posts that the game plays better in, 1st person. I have played all previous titles of, MTV vs ATV in, 3rd person and never had an issue until they switched to the, "Unreal 4" engine. I get dizzy when playing the game in, 1st person.....sucks for me, I guess. :-(

Not for me. Its to race or hot lap on different tracks and try to get faster. I get that some people like career mode. I don’t . I only play as the Pro Riders in MES. I guess this comes from playing a bunch of car simulators.

I don't know if you know it or not but you can customize camera. I play in 1st person and 3rd person. I like it both ways. In 3rd person I always adjust the camera more to my liking. Maybe try adjusting it a little using the left and right bumper and directional pad and see if that works better for you.

I think the money glitch still works. There is a picnic table on Emerald Key you hop on, do a ton of tricks, then find a way to lean back and land it. It is on the East side of the map in a Tiki/cabanas that sit over the water. Traverse a dock and bust a right at the end of it. Youtube videos on it, or run the coast, you will eventually find it.

On the topic of career mode wishlist for their next game:

- Baja Edge of Control... something special about getting sponsored by a fish taco company and slapping their logo on the side of your vehicle. Sponsors are fun, sponsors are neat, like badge of honor when you see it on your gear/bike.

Additional elements from other games I'd like, The Golf Club 2019 PGA edition you move up through the ranks sub-amateur --> Q-school --> PGA tour, and you can lose your pro card if you under-perform. Ricky Carmichael Championship Motocross for PS1, you could buy upgrade bottom ends, top ends, tires for different soils, etc.

- One element no moto game has ever done for me that would be super immersive, is ditch (or option to) the pro-riders and do a career mode with fantasy riders similar to "auto-generate" in Madden/2k that would allow for team-swaps, number changes, class changes. That decision would be a tough call though.

Physics wise: this game would be PERFECT for step up, bus-jump, ski-slopes/golf-courses/city streets and all the other fantasy locations. Super-moto and enduro-cross rap up my wish-list.

This topic has been beat to death the reflex code was lost during thq selling and the servers where ran by a 3rd party. Mx vs atv and mxgp/mes both play completely different, I’ve played all the mx games I don’t think will ever have a perfect mx game that can simulate really riding. To like mx vs atv playing with the camera and tuning are key it’s changes the aspects completely, I get that weird bouncy feeling too but I notice it when I try to play like I did reflex I have to slow down hit my marks. I was really good at reflex and I wore out a few controllers from that game. Reflex I leaned back a lot and just let her rip I notice I try to do that on this game and the physics don’t like it and it makes me do some weird stuff.

Kinda random, but I still wish they would remaster Morenci Mine for All Out, bonus points if it has the Chevelle driving around. I think it would fit perfect as a free ride map.

What kind of lap times were you running? I downloaded yesterday and had 10 mins round there and was hitting 2 mins. There is definitely room for improvement Laughing

The gap between medium and hard is ridiculous. I’m way too fast for medium and get spanked on hard. I’m annoyingly in the middle. I dread to think how much quicker the AI is on all time.

I’m getting old.

Edit*

I just did a race on hard. The 15th place guys fastest lap was 1:53.

Then I did a race on medium and the 2nd place guys fastest lap was 2:12.

So almost 20 seconds a lap between the faster medium AI riders and the slowest hard AI riders.

Not good.

I agree here! At first the AI on All time was probably just as fast as Medium is now. I'm sure there are people who can beat All time AI, but I think the difference between All time & Hard is very small, where the difference between Medium and Hard is a huge difference. I'm not necessarily complaining. I still enjoy getting 10th on hard. lol Just an observation.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind so much if I was in the battle but getting smoked every race or being a minute in the lead is no fun for anyone. I’m basically time trailing every time. No fun. I guess I just have to find 10 seconds a lap from somewhere Laughing

I have been pretty hard on this game but I have to admit these national tracks are really good. I still don’t like the air physics but I am getting better. They really should have all the bikes fully upgraded from the beginning. I think that would eliminate 75% of the frustration people have with this game.

We have been asking for a quarterpipe since it came out, the All Out devs doesent care about the ”small” stuff, sounds are still shit, the fork is 3 inches too long in the air Laughing

So much potential in this game, unfortunately they miss so many open goals in that would make a huge difference, even though they are just small details

I've races the AI on hard and all time and I really don't see any difference. They sometimes even put up more of a fight on hard than all time. This is the same with Milestone games too. I remember seeing a video a while back, someone did a split screen of hard and realistic AI on supercross 2 and the hard AI actually finished the 20 min main event like 15 seconds faster

Like others I can easily win on medium. My first race on hard was at the goat farm and I got smoked. Tried a couple of other tracks and won on the hard level then at a couple of other tracks I get smoked again. There is a big difference in what track you are on.

Purchased the Pro Nats - great job. Millville terrain deforms just like Sandwick track from Reflex! Amazing. Wish all the dirt types did this!

I think I found a 3rd person camera setup that does not make the bike bounce around, similar to how the 1st person camera feels. I think it was the follow camera (the third 3rd person camera in list?). I max the FOV and pull in the camera closer similar to the previous (chase?) cam and it feels like it reduces the bike hopping to me.

RAINBOW / anyone: I re-downloaded the xbox digital version of the game (version 2.8 I believe). My camera settings are not saving and the controller button config is not saving. I make a camera change and as soon as I change events, it reverts back to defaults. It does the same thing with the controller config too! I double checked that camera adjustment setting was enabled. Turned setting off then on again. No go. The download had all my gear, rider setups is there, just not allowing settings to save. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

I’ll look into the camera in 1st person tonight. I have not played first person till this week. So I figured out how to set it up so I just see the bars in my view. When I left that screen and went into a race I only saw the tip of the front fender.
So something changed. I reset it again before my next race and when I went in to race it changed again. Like I said I will try again tonight and really make sure. I am on the PC version.

The new tracks are scaled perfectly in my opinion. I've spent about an hour on each track in time trial mode. It's perfect having to brake for sharp corners and having the ruts in the right spots. Not too many but just enough. I got a 1:59 at Millville today and was so happy to break that 2 minute mark. I honestly have the most fun on Millville though. If you hit it just right, you can make it a step down double after the uphill triple after the Chadapult. Also, save a lot of time hitting the commandments section at Lorettas jumping on the last jump up onto the hump on the inside of the corner.
