I love the statement in the DVD where he's showing us how to build up to a jump and says "When you're pro sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do." and "... then I hit the jump and hold my breath...." Made it real for me.

Hank said what I was going to - you don't ride with a broken leg if you're not serious!
and few others that year, you new he was a little crazy, which is fine by me. Got hosed out of his chance at a 125 title
that year by mother nature, 2003 i believe. Guy has been around a long time
If you have followed Ryno at all, he lives a lifestyle and the products/services that he sells are a result of that lifestyle. He has obtained knowledge and experience and I see no issue with him creating a living from that. Honestly, it's why I actually trust his supplements. The guy is open about who he is and that tells me more than any marketing ploy ever would.
What in the fuck is corporate about vanlife?
Show me where he's been paid to tell people to not wear a neck brace. He doesn't make money telling people that. He makes money selling safe riding techniques and shares his opinion about bracing. Everyone is free to form their own opinion. And let's be real, neck braces are such a tiny piece of what he talks about.
While the outcome may be similar, I don't get the feeling Ryno is intentionally trying to create polarity. I think he's being authentic and speaking his truth. Some seem to feel the need to hate because of it. And for the record, I back him, not because I'm some blind follower, but because I have gone down a similar path and I am now speaking my truth. I understand him because I've spent a lot of time and effort learning and working on myself. He has been one of MANY sources of knowledge/experiences that my opinions are formed from.
Like I said, some don't get it and some do. It's a spiritual awakening and until you've gone through it, it's totally reasonable to not understand. I wouldn't have 5 years ago. The only reason I even back him on this forum is because I feel a similar calling to share what I have learned in the hopes that it helps someone else. Waking up/growing/killing the ego is a challenging but addicting journey and one that is truly fulfilling. It's the only one actually.
So if DV made a website with a paywall to access tips and tricks that he has in his own head, would you start hating on him? Do you hate Gary Semics? Those VHS tapes are the devil.
You don't like Ryno. That's fine. It's your decision to close your mind off to a guy who is improving the sport and the world by sharing his wisdom.
So if the 3D material world isn't all that exists, but science is based only on the material world, then science has a gaping blind spot no?
Read "How to Change Your Mind" by Michael Pollan. You'll recognize the irony in your ps and how it relates to mine.
My ego has nothing to prove to you. Carry on.
I hope one day you have an experience that shifts your perspective.
Pit Row
I can also testify that he’s a freak of nature athletically.
Also, it’s weird to hate on him for enjoying the woods and trying to get some peace of mind / insight. He’s no hippie he’s just trying harder than most.
