I'm old enough that I got to race at Saddle back and Carlsbad raceway. I feel nostalgic about those experiences. A decade or so ago I did a WORCS race at Pismo. I'm afraid that experience we be as tough as Carlsbad to replicate in the future.

I also noticed they made sure to use a picture that would associate a confederate flag with the pro-OHV folks...nice. I’m sure that was no oversight.

Someone in the Pismo thread told the rex guy to go police hobos and beach weirdos, but made no mention of self-policing our own group of riders, which is what we should actually be doing. Don't blame the bee for posting the photo, blame our own group for not keeping ourselves in check. I've done it before at Carnegie when people go off trail and it's no biggie if you're cool about it, I just let them know that the Garamendi's use those off trail lines to obtain judgements against the park.

The paper didn’t bring the confederate flags out. Dumbasses think that’s cool. For some reason whenever I go out riding the staging areas are full of confederate flags and tattered old American flags in the backs of pickups. As far as I can tell, no one is making them do this.

29 dui deaths per day.

They've funneled us down to a few concentrated places through land closures, and now they want to eliminate all riding areas.

I'm sure the reporter was giddy to report this.

The reduction in size of the riding area causes overcrowding, which hasn't helped with collisions that's for sure. Coos Bay is massive, and has far less collisions and deaths.

So, based on these numbers, if they're going to close the ohv because it's too dangerous, then they'll also have to say,
No swimming.
No $$$$$$$$$$$.
No hiking.
No prescription pain meds.
No drinking and driving.
