I thought Roczen's Southwick gear looked familiar...

1992 AXO gear

Ken Roczen @ Southwick

Obviously not an exact match, but pretty darn close. Similar to the '93 AXO-inspired stuff he wore at A1. I hope Fox keeps doing these unofficial tributes because the 1992-1995 AXO collections are some of my all-time favorites.

Probably my all time favorite gear set (AXO).

The fundamental problem here is that AXO is who out to have [gotten their heads out of their asses and] made this tribute gear instead of waiting for FOX to do it. I mean come on guys!!!

I thought they were out of business.

I can't be expected to know all of the behind the scenes business details. The website hasn't been disabled and their stuff is still available for purchase in Europe. So I assume someone somewhere is keeping the lights on. Maybe if they had thought to release some tribute gear sooner their current status would not be so ambiguous.

If they are going to do gear from AXO I would look at like '96-'99 gear.

But realistically, if they just did some of their stuff from like 98-07 that would be cool too. I was a 90's kid (89), and the gear in the 90's was the best, but they had some cool gear in the early 2000's. Some of the stuff this year is cool, but they had some terrible gear from like 2011ish-2017.

The MC 97 yellow gear Reed wore would have sold out.

True story coming up...

...a few years ago I advertised a brand new, still in the box, pair of Axo boots (same as pictured) on eBay. They didn't sell, but I was contacted by a potential buyer after the auction ended to see if a deal could be struck. It was Pete Fox. We ended up doing a trade. He got the boots, while I got one of RC's moto-winning jerseys from the Thunder Valley national (encrusted with dirt and signed by Ricky). It's hanging proudly in our house (framed). Even my wife's grown to like this particular piece of moto wall art.

I like the throwback zebra stuff Fox has done...but they already did this stuff with Stewart in 04. To me....that whole 89 catalog they had was great. As iconic as RJ and Bradshaw made the Zebra gear, I also think the red/blue “squares” that Donny Schmidt wore were cool, the green and blue ones that Chicken wore as well...and the spider webs and red/black polka dots.

The coolest AXO stuff to me is the Mission Control and Earthquake.

O’neal had some styles they were clean and stood out. I wore it back then. But I don’t know where they are trying to go with the throwback gear above. It has the jersey logo they used in 88/89 but the rest of it looks terrible. I’d aim for their diamond plate pants or IFS line that Mike Fisher and Mike Craig looked so good in back in the early 90s.

I was a die hard AXO guy through the 90’s as I got a complete set with my first bike in 1990 and liked it so much I stayed loyal until 98 or so. However, when I saw Kenny’s gear I said oh shit AXO throwback, good call!

The shit Stanton and Bradshaw would wear was so sick and needless to say Custom painted helmets! There is no denying that the 90’s were cool as hell!

Thanks for the throwback!

I think there was an Image or 360 fox set with barbwire that had that colour way too but couldn’t find any pics.

Axo had so many great colourways between Damon and Stanton but I still think the stuff they had Huffman in 95 and 96 was fucking some of the best moto looks ever.

AXO gear from last few years is top notch. Wears like iron and great price, shame they pulled out US market. LOVE the Trans-AM vented gear
