good for Coy If he said that, that’s the hard truth. The JGR shade comes from guys like Hill representing the team. If it was Peick out there this year you would have seen a top 5-7 Suzuki every week. Maybe Freddy will be that guy now. Jbone has always said it like it is and I generally agree with most of the stuff he says. He can’t MAKE A RIDER CARE or give their best effort. They put a plenty competitive bike on the track and it’s up to the rider to produce. Nothing different than in generations past.

He said because of his performance at Tampa in 2018 he had Suzuki take out insurance on Hills win bonuses. That was shocking to hear....lol

I mean... that bike won the 2016 national title... and went fast as hell at Tampa. J-Bone has also picked up some of the biggest names in the sport over the last few years.

Ultimately, the Nascar toyota thing steered them towards the R&D cycle of the most controversial bike of the last two decades.... which they then paired with a guy who either went mach 1 and won or mach 1 and crashed.

That set them back of getting a lot of riders (ie Deano).... and then their next mecurial guy was a past winner who you could argue isn't the most efficient rider ever.

Saying it's J-Bone is like blaming Mitch for the 2014 season with AC/BB/MD all crashing out or Decoster for Anderson getting landed on at the 16 MXdN.

JGR went Suzuki the very next year after that same Suzuki dominated the outdoors. Some of you guys make it out like Suzuki is a Bultaco or GasGas or something, Jesus. The bike is not holding JGR back. Maybe their rider selection is.

Their top rider went down pre season with possible career ending injuries. They hired a wonder kid who seems to want to be a rock star more than a moto star. As a hedge, they hired and past champion who wasn't fit and seems to want to be a race car driver more than a supercross racer. I don't see how any of that is Suzuki's fault.

Noren for 450? They should sign him now for 2020.

I can't see them attracting anyone better, after all the talks of closing shop, and this years mid-season layoffs.

Freddie indoors I don’t believe would do much better than a Chisholm. If the choice was between Savagty, Wilson, and Freddie, unless the money was significantly different, I would think the first two would get priority. Still have to get a title sponsor as well from what it sounds like, so if that happens, maybe that will open the doors for an additional guy.

I'm a big fan of JGR and J-Bone but this is where you have to look at SmartTop and Mike G and Tony and recognize and appreciate their strategy which JGR can learn from. You can see how they approached Malcolm. You want a factory bike and to be on our program? You are going to be on a religious training program. They instill that it will be done their way or they can find another rider with a strong desire to have a ride. JGR seems to step into situations and riders that are "unmanageable" too often. Other than that their program seems just fine.

I find it really funny that J Bone would be dogging Hill and they basically paid him for the # 1 plate. Pretty sure Hill is not the most motivated rider but J Bone was all in to sign him and then put him on a 450.

100% on hill. Poor choice for Jeremy but he’s a better manager than people give him credit for. Also don’t get why Steve and everyone thinks Suzuki is soooo terrible. The 450 wouldn’t hold anyone back. You could make that claim for the 250 but is the Honda really any stronger?

Honestly I am hard on the Suzuki’s because if their weight and no electric start. The boys at JGR can work miracles and have with the 450 but the 250 might be a lost cause IMO. That being said they are fine for 99.9% of weekend warriors and the price more people should consider getting one.

I was dead wrong about JGR signing Noren before Southwick and might be wrong about the bike. It’s fun to share opinions and guess what separates the best riders on earth.

How can people say the 250’s are a lost cause? Bikes ran up front when the riders showed up to ride them...

Factory level bikes are factory level bikes. Just pick a color.

The 250 looked really good in SX actually, in the whoops it was stable and both Jimmy D and Amart didn’t look hindered at all powerwise on starts or obstacles out of a turn. In outdoors the bike still looks fine. It’s up there on the starts. Amart has gone down more times on the first lap than not, which isn’t a bike thing in my opinion. He usually shoots himself in the foot with the opening lap falls but he claws his way back well into points. The KX and CRF aren’t that much better if any, they have more talented riders that’s what it boils down too. Put AC on an RMZ250 he still wins

Factory level bikes are factory level bikes. Just pick a color.
They are not. Some riders vibe better with certain bikes as opposed to others.
