Jacobi does ride very aggressively, but this was way over the top. If he was indeed the faster then Sterry should not have been able to pass him back 2x. And then slowing up to make sure he can clean Sterry out, WTF are you doing man the race is going on in front of you. Keep riding forward. Obvious that the home race pressure got to Jacobi and he folded in Moto 2, but the exchange afterwards and slapping Sterry in the head....man that's way over the line. Props to Sterry for not clocking him, seems like he has some size on him and probably could tune in him.

Okay that seems a little misguided. The "incident" you're referring to Webb is going for the lead of a race in the middle of a season long battle for one of (if not the) most prestigious titles in the two wheel world. Coop went for a gap that was clearly there and Marv went to close that gap, they collided (not very hard) and no one went down. I do find it funny you bring up that move by Cooper but neglect to mention it was Dean Wilson who torpedoed Marv a few laps later and actually sent him up over the berm to crash on concrete.

So laying that all out there, how in the hell of Jacobi's intentional look-back take-out of a his teammate for 9th place seem in any way similar to what Coop did?

I will say Cooper has had his share of someone trying to bully him. I clearly remember Tyler Bowers making Cooper a target and openly taunting him during their run at a 250 regional title. Coop kept his mouth shut and let his racing do the talking, eventually coming out with most of the race wins and the title.

Anyone remember the main straight clash in MX2 in Bulgaria between Anstie ( me thinks) and "whothehellever" ( I'll remember later, getting old and ever more confused), a fair few years ago?

It was a doozie, and made this Jacobi and Sterry take out and contretemps, look like handbags at dawn.

Jacobi certainly is somewhat 'berko' in his riding, which is entertaining - he looks to be a bit of a hot head as well. Punch? Looked like a sissyish slap to me. Bit of a twat move, the take out and the slap, for someone who reckons he's 2 seconds a lap faster.

Some of what you said is accurate but the situation was similar in that it was one teammate running another teammate off the track by pushing him wide - and it got heated after the race (not nearly as bad as this situation). Granted it was much more valuable in a legit points race for a championship. I don't recall that being for the lead though, it was just for position IIRC. But some of what you said is legit. I'm just pointing out there are still similarities to the incidents, namely a teammate intentionally running another teammate off the track.

Jacobi caught up to Sterry and stayed behind for a few laps. He was a little bit faster but not by two seconds. I don't know much about him but he does come off as the villain in this one.
He does say he lets his team mate go by when he gets caught from behind. Doesn't really matter, but maybe if that's true he may have felt Sterry should do him the same favor.

Looked the same to me too until I watched Jacobi's head like an earlier poster said and you can see him BARLEY shoulder check before he comes over. At first glance it definitely looks like they tried to go outside to outside and inside to inside which doesn't usually work but you can see him look.

I cant stand riders that expect "slower" riders to move over when its for position. If you are actually faster you should be able to get around, especially not get passed back twice. Might take a few corners, might have to get creative with lines, but if you're that much faster you should be able to get around.

Jacobi never lets anyone by, he has been blocking and cross jumping for years...it's not as apparent this year because he's on a better bike and isn't doing his usual holeshot, fade and block...
