Jason weigant and grant langston are hands down the best commentators in all mx/sx/ax racing. Nbc sports should take note

I think it was a mistake for them to bring RC into the booth last weekend. It really highlighted how much better GL is.

I really like weege. Seems to offer good insight without pointless filler.

Weege could definitely carry SX.

Personally I think the gp commentator is the best. Does the whole thing solo and never misses a beat.

Man I love Weege and Langston to bits, but what Paul Malin does in the MXGP booth is hard to beat. He manages to stay exciting AND factual at the same time, on his own. He rarely misses stuff that happens.

Making hands down. I like Grant also, Weege can be alright but I can’t stand when he starts talking about random bullshit and go on and on when things are happening on the track and not pay attention. Making gives constant updates on the riders and exactly what’s going on, and he’s funny as hell.

definitely a fan of weege and GL. I wasn't impressed with RC in SX but i thought he was alright Saturday. Made me think Ralph might be the bigger issue in SX. Would like to see RC with someone more in tune with the sport then Ralph.

Ralph and RC doing the nationals would be great. Emig with the guest spot here and there. Nothing would top that year round!

What blows me away is how Weedge gravitated to and excelled in knowledge so much about a sport he never partook in as a kid. He "got the sport" and how bad ass those who do it are without ever doing it himself. Yes I think he is good too, and GL as well.

Another vote for Malin. Although I do like Weege and Langston a lot too.

Canadian mx announcers from about 7 years ago still can’t be beat...not sure if they are still at it...

They got new ones for this year sadly. They will be missed, they brought a lot of energy to the broadcast.

Unpopular opinion but I found RC and GL went together, better than RC and Ralph. GL and Weege are hands down the best duo for commentary though. Both seem like super cool dudes and they know their stuff. Seems to be less "dumbing down" for non-fans outdoors than during SX, which could be why I thought Ricky did better than normal.

Another vote for Malin from me, he's forgotten more than I've ever known about Moto. And funny too with some of his comments

Malin is awesome, and the fact that he does it all by himself makes it that much more impressive. Weege/GL are definitely right there, though.

Didn't know the MXGP announcers name before this thread, but he is very very good. The first thing I think of when that guy is mentioned is him yelling "COCCYX!" when one of those guys had a bad crash a few years back haha

Malin's awareness is great but prefer GL and Weege. But my favorite is Eckman and Bailey.

Eckman could never remember anyone's name. Vital's servers would crash if he was still announcing.

i thought exactly the same.

I have been playing catch up with AMA Flat Track on YouTube , and they had AJ Allmendinger in the booth for one of them, he was really good, and knowledgeble.. for a few of the others it was Weege and Ralph and it just didnt gel for me.

Its not an easy job, on circuit stuff is easy enough, because its all laid out in front of you , and you talk about what you can see, and you can either do it or you cant, but once you get in a studio its a whole different ball game, so much other stuff to concentrate on , directors in your ears, ad breaks , poor direction where you can see stuff happening on timing that the cameras dont follow..

Worst of all is doing an after the fact recording over edited highlights, with no live timing, that is really hard.

Malin kills it at MXGP, and with Emig in there at MXoN its a great pairing but i dont think it would work week in week out.

Worst for me is Simon Crafar on MotoGP, guy hardly seems to be able to string a sintince together.. he is so Kiwi its excruciating. Luckily we only get him for post race interviews, so i turn him off.

Stop it. This is ridiculous. THEY ARE ALL FINE. It's not even close to the clown show it was when Denny was on Supercross. I'm sure you all get all the groceries in the correct bag every time at your jobs.
