I really hope Mr.Hill called Weston to discuss his disagreement man to man because complaining via social media is no different than what people complain about here being keyboard warriors.

He has a right to be pissed off for what Weston said but it just looks like trying to get sympathy or attention.
Looks like he's trying to correct misinformation to me.

My guess is Weston just thinks JH needs a change - a clean break if you will.

I don't know Monte from Adam, but I think Josh is pretty unimpressive (unless you're into the Spicolli types). Talented for sure, but unimpressive as a professional athlete.

I think what rubs people the wrong way with Justin is how much he talked about how well he was going to do on the 450 (almost disparagingly towards his fellow 250 competitors - many of which are way gnarlier than him), and then just appears to have called it in this year. It's tough to judge many things from the outside looking in, but he looks soft and out of shape for a guy who is going to war each week with Tomac, Roczen, Barcia, etc.

IMHO of course...lol
I hear ya and agree. Defiantly some thing up with him.

On the Josh Hill interview on Swap moto I think it was, Josh said Justin is super fit and its not fitness and he has speed at the practice track but as we all know can't turn it into results.Blink

Gotta love, in the comments of the post, the "to clarify the concussion didn't happen in a Bell or 6d" disclaimer. I don't follow Justin Hill closely enough to know what kind of helmet he has been wearing..but his post says it was before a 450 main..and hes only been in the 450 class for so long.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but i don't think anyone is drawing any conclusions about the quality of a helmet based on Justin Hill getting a concussion in it or not after some of the wild crashes hes been in.

I bet he got double scoops of protein in the smoothies, that's why things have been taken to a personal level. Everybody knows the extra scoop is always like $2 and that's where margins are met.

Sad all the way around

Sad Peick said what he said. Everyones family dynamic is not the same. some good, some bad.

Sad Monte had to defend himself and his family. Clearly he posted out of frustration and missed some spelling and grammer. It happens

Sad that the folks here say what they say based on the milliseconds of information of either party’s life that they are privy too

You know what they say, Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.....

I know, I know, touche’

Carry on

I was kind of surprised by Westons comments when I listened to the podcast as well. I thought it would create a bit of drama....but then on the other hand I am sure Justin's team mates probably know what is bothering him better than us keyboard warriors here on Vital.
There is no question that Justin has something going on and not living up to his potential, everyone know that. The cause of that is pure speculation on our part, I am sure Weston has some insight.

Whatever the issues are with Justin, I hope to hell he can get past them and get back to his old self soon.

it doesn't hurt to have someone looking out for these young Men, People tend to lose sight of whats best for them when money and titles are on the line.

That said it's a delicate balance.

Back in the newspaper days, people used to write all sorts of crazy stuff in the personals. Nobody's saying anything new today, but for some reason, everyone reeeeaaally seems to care what some random weirdo halfway around the country thinks.

I wish I had as weak of a work ethic in which I could place 11th O/A at Thunder Valley and 7th O/A at Pala in the 450 class. Have you ever thought, it's not so much work ethic, but that the top 10 are going faster than shit and the difference between 1st and 10th in timing could be the enter/exit speed through just 1 corner?

Maybe a bit off topic, but didn't Peick sound like he was kinda hammered during that interview?

I'm no doctor, but.........….I think when your face gets landed on by a dirt bike and they have to rebuild your entire face, multiple times - it changes how you sound when you talk.

Haha I thought his voice sounded fine, it was the things he said that sounded off. Maybe that's just how he is, who knows. I guess he gets extra credit for candor.

Justin has always talked a good game, and apart from one 9-race series in 2017 he's never managed to put anything else together. If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. Scroll through these shots and tell me if Hill looks to be working as hard as every other rider:

It was pretty hard to forward a newspaper.
I think people should quit airing their dirty laundry for the world to see and show their need to tag everyone they can think of to get them involved somehow.

I find that usually when someone gets THAT offended it's not because they know it's all a lie. After all, if it's all bullshit and a misunderstanding why get so up in arms about it? Their pops should know the moto industry by now. Rumors (or facts) will exist whether you confront it or not.

They both have tremendous talent as I said and have not come anywhere close to their potential according to other riders on the same team. That only leads to weak work ethic either physically or mentally in my opinion.

I guess nobody on this forum should share their opinion unless they know riders personally?

By all means you can have an opinion. I just find they hold more weight when you can base it on facts or first hand knowledge. It also helps if you don't start that opinion off by admitting you have no idea what you're talking about.

It's my opinion that Justin Hill has been underperforming this year, i'll agree with that. I'm not going to come out and blame it on a lack of work ethic as i dont know. Maybe Weston does know, or Chad, or Jbone. But me and you, we dont know.

Ya follow my point?

“Opinions” based on the very definition of the word, do not have to be based on facts

opinion[ uh-pin-yuhn ]
noun
a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty
