Those that are calling me out in this thread, don’t know me or what i have done or anything, but that’s all good!

I've been reading vital for many years, read many of your posts. I know your 100% all in when it comes to Moto, but I don't think I know the back story, are you the dude who got hired as a kid to work in a movie, then got offered a job including being in the actors guild? It was a long time ago, but if that is you, would you please tell the story again? And who are you? I'm pretty sure your not actually Regis, although that'd blow my mind, but only if it's safe or whatever. And whatever you do, I'm with ya, except I don't think it's all that complicated to figure out, the reason our sport is lacking is three fold. #1 video games, by far and away the number one reason kids are no longer outside. Not only missing Moto, but playing other sports or even just hanging out with friends. #2 parents, too many parents are convinced that sports, especially something like Moto, is an automatic sentence to some type of crippling injury. Sorry, but I'd rather live with a little risk, and I know my boys feel the same- #3 no more bikes like the xr,xl,xt,kdx, that are affordable and yet still had some fun factor. Let Honda make xr's from 80-250 cc and price them under 3k and you'd sell them in no time IMO- anyway, hope you have a great weekend Regis, I may not know you personally, but I know we share the same views. In my book that makes you a genius Woohoo

My name is Regis Andrew Harrington III

I went by Andy Harrington as a racer, mainly because as a kid I didn’t like the name Regis. It was different. I liked Andy

I raced from the time I was 8. I rode for Team Green as an amateur. Until I was 17. I then turned pro and rode for Motorworld Of El Cajon in 97-98-99. In 2000 I rode for factory KTM. I was never great at racing, like I said previously I had great moments. But was a mid pack dude. I got 7th in a 125cc west coast race. That was my best SX finish.

At the end of 2000, after I lost my KTM ride due to sucking, I went to be an extra on the Disney movie “motocrossed”. I ended up getting hired to stunt double the lead ACTRESS and some of the actor. I was a smaller guy. I got into the screen actors guild. Did a few stunts on that movie.

I raced Yamahas in 2001, did ok, made some mains and got 11th at San Diego. At Salt Lake City that year was my last pro race . I broke my leg super bad.

I was a normal dude for the next 9 years. Worked at an Auto Body shop, was head judge of X games and Red Bull X fighters. Did some stunt jobs here and there but was kinda scared of getting hurt. In my short mx “career” (not really a career) I had lots of surgeries.

In 2010 I decided I wanted to be a full time stuntman. I went all in. Since then I have been in over 100 movies and television shows. I have been very fortunate.

Most recent film coming out I worked on, John Wick 3. Did an amazing crash and chase. Go see it!

That’s who I am in the cliff notes version.

Wow amazing!! Former pro and now stuntman. Now I really do wanna drink beer and shoot the shit with you, so many questions! Laughing

If you use the term snowflake, at any time whatsoever, to describe a person or group of people, I assume your critical/creative thinking skills are very very low.

Also, going by Andy when your given first name is Regis is pretty ironic isn’t it? You were sensitive about your name so you chose a different one...seem familiar?

I don’t have a personal problem with you, but this train of thought that anyone with an opinion or feelings is a “snowflake” is the most short sighted blabber.

I was going to go with -

Wuss
Pussy
Crybaby
Whiner
Bellyacher
Griper
Fusser
Moaner
suckybaby
Democrat
Sally

But, I didn’t want to be too harsh on the sensitive people here, snowflake is a way to just explain that we have to be gentle with these people, that they Have to be handled with care. They aren’t bad people, just need to toughen up a bit. Because we are all grown men. (Apologies to the women, if there are any posting here)

I have ZERO idea why my name has anything to do with this but, my family called me Andy when I was born. IT IS my middle name. I was a kid, not a grown man. it wasn’t really a decision I made. But I stuck with “Andy” because well, when you 8 and the teacher calls you Regis, you are allowed to be a bit sensitive right? I liked Andy as a kid.

As I got older, I understood having a unique name was awesome.

Last good fist fight I saw at a National wasn’t even a fight...dipshit kept picking up the water hose at the last “S” turn at Washougal after the ski jump and flooding the track...next thing I heard was a good solid “whack” and hose guy was toppling like a tree...courtesy of a large track worker.

Jeezus... sorry a I didn’t get in depth the whole reason for going by Andy! I did better above. I was a kid. Lmao.

Aren’t you getting a little off topic?

Trust me, I’m not sensitive. Especially to your name calling. I get a chuckle out of it, actually.

Have a good day, snowflake. I hope you enjoy your weekend riding, or watching the race trackside. I have a feeling you won’t be doing either though.

You’ve responded to every post in this thread within minutes. You’re VERY sensitive, but very out of touch. It’s ok, lots of folks who call people snowflakes have this problem.

It’s human nature to be sensitive and have empathy.

If you read the thread in its entirety, it was my thought and hope that having the local tracks that are within an hour or two of the National closed, would maybe drive people to actually go and spectate. However, it was pointed out to me and I agree, that won’t necessarily work. People will ultimately stay home.

Reeg is the man. See him once a year or so at a Supercross and then he disappears into quiet movie stardom until you find out what character he was or what movie he was in and what stunt he did.
Pretty much agree with everything you said here Andy, I’d rather watch a pro moto too (my national pastime these days) but SoCal is a different place as you well know and if these guys want to get out and ride, you can’t blame them for that. They are supporting the industry as well, just in a different way, with bike sales, parts, oil and more.

I would argue about being out of touch. I think there are more here that agree with me than disagree.

Thanks for the kind words Dave.

I know you don’t want to weed through the pages of babbling and nonsense I wrote above, but I DO agree with you about people loading up and riding.

It was my initial thought to close tracks locally to the race to hopefully drive spectators to the race. But that is a concept that WONT work. You are right, as were others that pointed it out. So cal is a different animal. Too much to do and it wouldn’t be a solution.

This thread was started with the sole purpose of putting people down. So I responded to say you’re a dickweed even if your co-bro cohorts agree with your flawed logic.

Dude......just stop. If you had any idea how long Andy ( Reeg ! ) has been around and been involved not only with the sport , but the moto board's , you wouldn't be in here trying to act like his shrink. He was smart to go by " Andy " back in the day , because just using " Regis " could have gotten him roughed up at school. It was different back then.

Give it a rest please.

I am in no way pointing out flawed logic. I only want to add minds being lost because Bubba speaks. And addition minds being lost when RC references a comment made on said speaking engagement. That is all. As you were.
How about the bogus CR500 thread? Two stroke dorks blew their wads but would bitch about it being too expensive.

This is officially my favorite thread ever. Pussy's getting offended for being called pussy's because they don't realize they're pussy's. This is my kind of entertainment.

To be clear... am I the guy calling out pussy’s who don’t realize they are pussy’s? or am I the pussy for not realizing I’m being called a Pussy?

If you use the term snowflake, at any time whatsoever, to describe a person or group of people, I assume your critical/creative thinking skills are very very low.

Also, going by Andy when your given first name is Regis is pretty ironic isn’t it? You were sensitive about your name so you chose a different one...seem familiar?

I don’t have a personal problem with you, but this train of thought that anyone with an opinion or feelings is a “snowflake” is the most short sighted blabber.
It's ok to have opinions and feelings. Just try to have better opinions and feelings. For example, opinions about things that matter and feelings that aren't fragile, like a snowflake. That's all.

Why do you snowflakes always "out" yourselves? If you were to have stayed quiet no one would have known...

I find it hilarious that people can't see that they're basically all the same. People are just getting butthurt about other people getting butthurt.

According to me reading interpretation, you are calling out said pussy's. Who in turn become emotional, but try to reverse the heat by calling you emotional. It's all a very well orchestrated dance of hilarity that I quite frankly can't get enough of.
