Rentals?

You'd think they would own a few by now.

It was the special Cianciarulo bend that he designed himself. Turns out they're not so good for winning championships with.

The way his bars were bent I would say he was running stock Yamaha bars. One time I walked by my YZ250 with stock bars and barely ran into them and the bent down to the radiator. No lie. ??

That dirt was concrete. That wouldn't of happened at any other track than maybe Anaheim or denver. When his bars hit that next jump face, it was like hitting a brick wall. If it were say, Indianapolis or seattle, would of never happened more than likely. What a shame...

That dirt was rock hard. I think he could have charged to a good enough position had they not bent

Right now I'm looking around my house for things that would survive a hit to that dirt at 35 MPH and I'm coming up empty.

Im shocked the bars bent as bad as they did. Ive had worse crashes on my 450 and they were still straight or just slightly bent. They didnt pretzel like adams did. Then again the dirt in ohio isnt concrete. Unlucky the bars got mangled like that. Twinwalls are the strongest.

It looks like they moved in the clamp rather than bent.

Same it looked to me like they had rubber mounted bar mounts and those were tweaked more than the bars but I was just watching on tv so what do I know

Looked like it was more the clamps being twisted and not so much the bars being bent.

From the looks of my screen I’d say he was running the McGrath bend.

I seen that to and can't understand why that would be a bad thing. Can someone elaborate please?

I've been trying to bend mine for 10 years.
Got to admit pros are far better than I am.

Ive been running twin walls for years now. Crashed plenty of times. My bars have never bent, but the mounts have several times. I always thought those were the strongest bars available which is why I like them. Now I just gotta figure out who makes the strongest mounts so I can start bending/breaking the next weakest link.

It is possible that the bar mount bent along with the bar itself, either way, it's just plain unfortunate. The way the bike went into that face handle bar first, it's a safe bet any brand of bar would have shat itself.

I've heard multiple times on different podcasts that Roger D insists the KTM/Husky riders run a bar without a cross bar as it eliminates a fulcrum point for the bars to bend...

IMO These bars are "factory" issued to PC only.
