The most interesting part is how he talks about his compound and much he hates it. You can hear the resentment in his voice. He is absolutely 100% over it.
The second most interesting part is when he says "I'm fat! I always wanted to be fat and I want people to see me fat". AMEN, Brother.
Interesting perspective on a lot of things. He definitely hated the pressure, and I don't blame him. Seems similar to 'Poto in that regard. I'm sure he supports his brother in a lot of ways, but if I were in Malcolm's shoes, I'd sure appreciate my older brother getting over himself and coming to watch me ride.
So awesome. Just awesome. Listening to some of those answers you can’t blame him for anything he’s done. People will still bash but no one will ever be in those shoes. Hope nothing but the best for my favorite rider ever. Segment on Malcom and going back to his compound was so cool. If he does race Loretta’s omg that place will be PACKED.
Thought it was awesome. Great honesty
He said in time he will ride just for fun
Can understand after dedicating his whole life to the sport he just needed to get away from it and hates his compound , look forward to the next episode, I think we will see him touch on Chad and his altercations on the track.... should be great
After watching this second episode I went and watched 05 Hangtown and the commentary is spot on to what James was saying... i would’ve thought Bubba would be making up better time then he is doing haha Geez everyone is on those Thumpers and bubbas on that angry Bee.
There's a fine line between being confident and disrespectful. He still hasn't learned...which makes his legitimate reasons for losing sound like bitter excuses.
I really miss him doing things on tracks that nobody else wanted any part of, but that's about all I miss from him. I loved watching him wax everybody the first 5 races of that outdoor season. So many newbs who had dismissed his talent...
I like the honesty. Very few of us can imagine the huge amount of pressure, work, and fear of being a top racer. RV said the same - all he did was ride, train, eat properly - he was glad when it was over.
The pressure of keeping yourself, the fans, your employer, etc. happy is enormous, especially since it is expected you win. Not to mention the fear of crashing, broken bones, paralysis, death, etc. knowing you have to ride on the ragged edge. (No wonder they say at the highest levels, sports are mostly mental).
JS is just a guy like any of us. Him hating on the compound, riding, etc. may be a defensive thing as it brings back too much anxiety. Don't blame the guy one bit.
So sick Hearing him talk about the 2005 season on the KX 250. I was there at Hangtown that day, he was so unbelievably fast in that first Moto cutting through the pack but kept on crashing.

Much better video this time. It is a shame he resents the sport so much, being that sick of it you cannot even go and watch your brother is nuts.
