Yup, the Frenchies are on the box this year ! (but if I had to bet, Webb and AC are in a better position to wrap it)

It is pretty cool for the series to have all the best americans, and many of the best "internationals", Reed, Roczen, Musquin, Wilson, Ferrandis, Lawrence, etc !

I have a suspicion that the Webb Vs Marv battle isn't going to stay clean, some of Webb's moves on Saturday night were well outside what you expect of a team-mate and we know Marv is absolutely desperate to beat him

Marv has not had it easy by any stretch. Granted there are times that he added fuel to the fire, but American fans tend to treat anyone who isn’t “all-american” like crap. It’s embarrassing.

I really think Marvin had a shot now I don’t. He lost the 7 points and 3 more this weekend. Down 17 with 4 rounds to go? I don’t think Webb has had a crash all year I just don’t see him blowing a 17 point lead. Better hope for some biggggg whoops

Agreed. After being the bridesmaid to Dungey for years and now finding himself in the same position with Webb, I get the feeling that a new Marvin is starting to show up. I don’t think he’ll go full BamBam on everyone, but I expect him to be a lot more aggressive than he typically has been in the past.

The Ricky Bobby reference is spot on. North Carolina vs Frenchie. Agree that fans can get emotional and it is embarrassing when pictures like that one above show up. Granted outdoors is a different animal with drinking beer from a cooler and I feel more passionate fans than those that attend SX.

Reed and Roczen have gotten plenty of hate. Don’t let the last couple years after Kenny became an underdog story make you forgetful.

You’re right about Ferrandis, but I haven’t seen a lot of people getting on here talking about how badly they want to see him beat AC...

Also there are countless other examples since the mid 90s, mostly French, and the French aren’t known for being the nicest people ever.

Great topic! I've always appreciated the sacrifice of foreign riders to leave their country and chase the dream here. There have always been knuckleheads like the booger eater above that just hate everyone that isn't American. It's their choice, but being disrespectful shows what kind of human being you are. Fans as a whole don't give them shit, from all the races I've been to.
