Herlings missed 1 GP last year and still had 250 points over Desalle (who was 3rd). Jeffrey can miss 4 GP's and still end up with more points then Desalle and Gajser. He would be a very good back up plan for KTM to still win the MXGP title in case something happens to Cairoli. As long as Musquin and Webb remain healthy untill start of outdoors season there is no reason for KTM to switch Herlings.
What a joke, Could of been a great series with the addition of JH84! Hopefully he can at least do some rounds ?
It has to appeal to brands outside of Motocross. There are not more red bull drinkers in the US than the rest of the world.
Pit Row
It's a small chance ofcourse, but not 0%. If Beirer really pisses of Herlings, I'm not sure whose side the owners would take.
Herlings will still win on a KTM without Beirer, but without Herlings KTM won't win alot anymore.
How about if Herlings gets his shit together and doesn't get an injury year after year? He could've led the series at this moment and already have 6 titles instead of 4.
He signed a deal to race GP's, period. Just because he broke his foot doesn't mean he has to get his way and race in the States, where 3 guys race for the same brand and have a chance of winning the championship.
If he could manage to stay on two wheels for an entire year, he wouldn't be in this situation. It's his own fault. Just like when he crashed his 85cc on Everts' charity race and not Everts' fault like so many fanboys love to claim.
Get over it.
And I personally don't want him to race AMA, I live in Europe I want to see him in the GP's, but as I said it is a fact that he is pissed about this decision.
And to call a charity race a "shitty event" just tells what kind of a person you are.
Also a KTM error, for allowing Herlings to go to this event
But regarding the "USA or not"-thing, I'm just saying what a lot of fanboys refuse to or can't see. His duty lies within the GP-scene, nothing else. He calls these issues upon himself. The last injury-free season he had was 2012, so about that "wildchild", it seems he doesn't quite learn from the past.
I guess I don’t understand why so many guys are whining and threatening to boycott or whatever. I guess people are jus whiners and spoiled?
