Any word on Cole Martinez after his practice crash? Doesn’t seem good if there hasn’t been an update on him.

Not sure but rumor was broken femur, again. Just a rumor.
Man I hope not. Such a bummer for that kid. Can’t believe there wasn’t any update on his condition

Yeah I saw those, was hoping that meant we'd know. I really hope it's not a broken femur

Wow. I’m with him right now (Sunday, midnight) I’m Just scrolling Vital and I see this post. He’s like no way, what’s it say?
He does in fact have a left broken femur. He had surgery this morning (Sunday) and it was successful. He is walking with a walker already and putting weight on it. I’m very impressed with his progress/recovery in 12 hours. He plans on catching a flight Monday before noon and getting back home to his girls.
He says thanks to everyone out there that is thinking of him. It was a year and a week to the day since a tibea plateau fracture at Daytona which he said was worse and more painful. He’s super bummed for sure, but will get through it and figure it out.

So it looks like it's the type of break where the knee braces did their job and his femur broke instead of his knee? It appears to have broke right where it should have above the knee brace?

Exactly, much easier to fix a femur than a knee.

Broke my tib/fib wearing a mostly metal EVS brace back in 06 and was back on the bike in 6 weeks. Tore my meniscus running and even after surgery and rehab it'll never be the same again. Tempted to where braces while running now haha.
