In the garage threads, I see most of us have multiple bikes. I am wondering what you use for the fuel if it sits up for winter or a few months?

I recently found a station nearby that sells non ethanol fuel so hopefully this issue goes away. The pump gas goes bad in about 2 months it seems but I hate to add something to the tank.

Are you guys adding something before storage?

I drain the tank on any bike that sits for more than a month and dump the gas in my truck.

On my carbed bikes I always ran the carb dry or drained it too.

I agree 100%. I use it in everything, chainsaws, weed whackers, lawn mowers, dirt bikes, street bikes, cars and so on. Its never let me down. You can get it on sale sometimes at Walmart. For anything with a metal gas tank I'll put a little two stroke oil in there too.

I've always had good luck with Stabil, I've heard about Seafoam but never tried it.

Don't know what the difference is between the two.

I try to have a small amount in the tank (1 qt), shake it around run it a bit so it goes thru the carb or FI.

When you are ready to ride put fresh gas in to mix with the old stuff before starting.

Another vote for sea foam. I too put it in almost everything, from lawnmower, mx bike, street bike, snowblower etc. Ive never had a fuel problem with anything that had sea foam in it.

vp 110. Last ride of the year I run mostly race gas and make sure I run it low. I then top off to about 1/4 tank of race gas and let her sit. First ride of the year put a fresh tank of 93 in the bike and its ready to go.
