this Isn’t a new thing though a ray has been mad for months specifically since monster cup when he went up to Tyler and his mechanic yelling and screaming at them (i was right behind them) so it’s somethimg that if was bothering him that much could have been resolved a long time ago or am i still wrong?

I'll say it was a weird moment to bring it up, and though it was a bit cringey, I don't blame Ray for doing it. I see it completely as Bowers being insecure. He knows they're almost the exact same speed, except A-ray is on his way up, while Bowers is on his way down. So since there's not much he can do on the track, he just tries to make him feel like shit about the way he rides.

Here's how it works, Bowers should never say Ray shouldn't be out there, he's entitled to talk all the "sketchy" smack he wants, saying he shouldn't be there is disrespecting him completely. Alex Ray needs to be quiet about what Bowers says and just beat him on the track more than once, Bowers will quiet down after the first loss to him and go silent or praise him after the second.

Bowers may be faster but he comes off like a bully douche and doesn't have near the social skills he thinks he does. His interviews are terrible thanks to his 4 minute sentences.

Alex was sketchy and cattywompus but has one of the best personalties around which goes way further IMO. Not many riders admit to riding over their capabilities.


If Bowers were to stuff someone in a corner it would just be him riding hard and aggressive but if Alex did the same thing it would be sketchy and cattywompus.

I'll have to re-listen to it but I thought Bowers was just quoting the same things the PulpMX show was saying in last weeks episode. Bowers even stated at one point during the interview he listened to last weeks show. I remember that someone one the show said exactly what Bowers said "Alex ray getting really sketchy, coming at other guys in the other lane". I can't remember who said it but Bowers sounded like he was taking some jabs and quoting what was said last week. That's how I took it. Then Alex Ray got all upset. It wasn't anything that wasn't said last week.

I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I do think it was dumb for Aray to bring it up on the pulpmx show. If he really felt like he needed to say something to Bowers , the better way would be to approach him face to face at the next race.

How come A Ray doesn't stick up for himself when JT, Matthes or Weege talk about him being Sketchy? I mean the Glen Helen A Ray when camera goes to him story is hilarious !!!!!! It just seemed odd that he singled Tyler out for the same thing everyone else does.

I liked it. I’m glad ARay brought it up, as Matthes stokes that fire each time Bowers comes on the show. It was good to hear them address it ear to ear. Maybe Matthes will not bring it up anymore in future podcasts with Bowers.
