Do any of you 19’ kx450 owners feel like the bike is long? I had a 13’ and have rode multiple 16/17 models and the bike felt very long compared to a yamaha, ktm, or Honda

I see you have a vortex Ecu. I have ridden with mine in map 1 and tried 2 on a supper dry turn track and it’s cool to feel the difference. How’s it working for you and any recommendations? New to the ecu world. Mine seems to have a bog when you rev it on the stand and I can some times feel it if I hit the gas hard out of a corner. Was wondering if I should mess with the low end dile?

Nice they're in better shape then mine. I was going to re coat the shaft but it's not really worth it. What compression assembly do you have? PC hasnt really told me which one will work.

I had a ‘16 kx 450 and think the 19 doesn’t feel as long.

Nope- Feels way smaller and agile than my 17' CRF. I swapped the stk springs to .52's and it rocks.

DB97 sorry hadnt looked in a bit - The kid 857 - The HSC adjuster you have with the restrictor is an A kit adjuster, but it's the one piece style setup. PC can modify this to function in the production 19 shock. The 19 shock has the oversized HSC adjuster standard from the factory, but it doesnt have the restrictor setup that the A kit stuff has.

DB97 - Its not a "honda" specific a kit adjuster. Its basically ANY A kit HSC adjuster assembly, from kit shocks the general consumer would be able to purchase. If you called PC tomorrow and bought a brand new A kit shock as Joe Blow, you'd have this one piece style adjuster. If you purchased a second hand A kit shock that came from Pro circuit, chances are its been altered and is a 3 piece setup (no circlip retaining everything together internally). Hopefully this helps? I have photos I can show of both styles if necessary.

How does the new KX chassis feel compared to your Husky? I have a 2018 FC350 that I don't really like the handling on. I prefer my 17' YZ450F, which is a bike a lot of people bash on the handling for, and I always liked the older "big feeling" kawi's. I am a bigger guy, and I don't like a lot of front weight bias.

Does the new kawi have that traditional green stability, all in a smaller package? Or does the new bike handle more like a KTM/Husky/Suzuki/Honda now? I ride rough tracks and sand a lot, so I don't like front weight bias.

I have been riding Kxs for the past 6 years, I did buy a 16 factory ktm and hated it... good motor but never got comfortable. The new kawi has a familiar feel compared to the older models I.e 13-18. The 19 just turns better and seems to follow a rut and not stand you up. You can rear steer the bike like old just not as much. This bike is much more nimble. It’s a point and Shoot kind of ride and it really responds to your body position. I run my chain on the long side with the axel block 3/4 of the way back. And get great stability. Motor is smooth and very predictable,

Like the kid says- Ergos are very comfy, but I get along with most anything. Totally love my Husky, and believe it or not, I prefer to race the two stroke. The Kawi does turn way better than the previous gens..much more front end bias- almost effortless. Motor is good, snappy, and overall the bike is light feeling. I also love the 17' & 18' KTMs, but the 19's, not so much.

Can't go wrong with Green for 19'-

How do you guys think this bike would work in GNCC/east coast off road races? Looking at getting one and ditching my '18 KTM 250XC two stroke. I hate the way the KTM handles and the suspension blows. Just worried this much power will gut me and it will stall a lot in some of the tight stuff.

Off-road 175 lbs .46 fork springs, softer fork compression valving, faster fork rebound valving and way more mid valve float . In the rear softer compression valving and faster rebound valving. Ignition mapping retarded 3 degrees at just off idle through 60 degree throttle opening. Best move map set point from 10 degrees to just above closed throttle. One or two teeth more on rear sprocket. Larger gas tank. A little faster idle and smaller rear brake rotor

I think it would do good. It’s got some power but it’s very linear and manageable.

There will be 2 Kawasaki team green teams in GNCC this year that I know of

Precision Concepts has been racing them off road in the West and winning titles and last weekend 2 of the Preceision Concepts riders finished 2nd and 3rd.

To all the guys running PC pipes, how many have had the subframe break and how many have had no problem at all? I am not far away from picking up a 19 and I'd like to go pc but fmf has the s mount that looks to prevent that problem.

I think I'm the only one that has one other than the other one we used as a test unit but that one went to Idaho...it was probably me that had it from what he's talking about. Yo Slap, go Yosh...I tried the FMF...go Yosh. If you want it sooner, hit me up, might be able to help you there.

Mine didn't break but I got the sub frame welded just in case. Brett at ICW did it for me $40.

Again, I'm no exhaust expert but you would think a company would be able to make these things a bit shorter. Whoever makes it the shortest sells the most imo.
