I think from going through this thread, as kids, we didn’t really give a shit what the ride was, as long as it had two wheels, we were in heaven.Cool

1984 CR80 when I was about 9, couldn't touch the floor at all. Then I we got a YZ 50 then an 86 CR 60, little did we know at the time that they would be worth a few quid now.

I grew up riding quads but my first bike was a 99 kx250 that I found blown up on craigslist. I was 22 and just wanted to try something different. 5 years later all the quads are gone and I have a garage filled with bikes.

First bike was a 1980 YZ80. However it never ran, so I would push it up and down a hill to ride it. My first actual running bike was a 1990 CR 125. I got it in April and started racing it in May of 94.

First bike was this bad boy. I had learned to ride on other friends XR 50s.

It never ran right and didn't have it long, took it to the dealer to have a look and the dealership got robbed, they got my bike.

I ended up one of these.. Rode the piss out this thing

I remember like it was yesterday. We had to run a mile in elementary school every year for some stupid reason. While I was doing that, a guy that came to school when ever he wanted to, Kenny Wiggins busted out the woods on a CR80 wide open passed our pathetic enslavement mile run right across the school yard, no helmet, mullet flying, it was glorious! That right there made me want a 2 stroke race bike. Sold the XR and got a 88 CR and did my first race on that.

Fuck yeah Kenny, always appreciate that act of defiance. RIP

A Fox Speedster. Long story to how I got it, then lost it, then got it back 10 years later. It hangs in my shop now. Here is what they look like in good shape. Mine is a little rough, lol.

1968 Honda 50. My grandfather bought it new, then got a ct70 the next year. Me, my sister and all my (15 of them) cousins all learned to ride on those bikes.

I'm trying to track the bikes down to restore them. Grandad gave both bikes to a family friend in the early 2000's, so their grandkids could learn to ride.

Honda QA50 to share with my brother who is a year older than me. Must have been around 1970. Bike was green.
My dad was disabled due to a stroke, so maintenance was up to my brother and I. Needless to say, that poor bike was run HARD, and basically never got anything but gas. I can't remember it ever even having the oil changed. It was nearly indestructible.
I have had many bikes over the years, but I will always remember riding that little 2 speed bike.

Pops put a twist throttle on this atc70. His thought was to get me used to the concept of power before dealing with the balance aspect. Got it down pretty quick and moved in to the PW. Atc still runs! First thing I go to whenever I visit him.

My first bike was a new Taco 22 mini bike like the one below....

A couple of years later we traded it in for a new Yamaha JT1. (one of the the first true mini-cycles).

Mine was a Honda SL100 like this one except it was well worn and had a few issues. I was just geeked to have a bike!
