That surprised me. Revo Husqvarna is a very solid team and i thought that it would have been impossible for him to get a team like that after his bad 2018 season.

But good for Alvin, i hope this move gets his career back on track!

Fuck yeah, so happy for him. I grew up riding with him and have been good friends since childhood. Awesome to have been there first hand to watch the progression of his career!

Yes they do! This team is the next best thing after the KTM Factory team.

Interview with Tim Mathys:

What can you tell us about the support that your riders will have from KTM in 2019? The way that they support the team must be a huge help in many different ways.

Without KTM it would be impossible. Together with them and our important technical partners like GET, HGS and Rekluse we have the possibility to give all three of our riders competitive bikes to perform at the highest level. I think we have proven in the past that we are able to build fast bikes, but without the support of KTM it would not be possible. When I decided to come back into MXGP I only contacted them as I experienced the difference that it makes working with them in the past and the professionalism they offer, compared to other brands.

Besides that the KTM 450 SX-F is the best base to build a powerful bike as already in stock condition they are extremely competitive. Our bikes will be, like in the past years, a combination of factory parts with some great aftermarket parts and in-house development.

By the way, another silly-season announcement will drop at 16:00 CET today.

Thanks! AJ to Husky...
I'm not sure if this line-up will give them better results compared to last year.
But both are talents, so I guess they don't expect too much of them the first year

No TM Factory team in the GPs next year.
Nagl is without a ride so far. But I think to remember that he mentioned he has some other options...

He doesnt have a big bag of money to bring with him tho. He is insanly good but have had bad seasons:/. If he put in a 100% effort just focusing on the fitness and have a good enough bike he could easily be top 5 overall.

JVH posted a picture on IG of him riding a Yamaha R1M and this hashtag #newcareer. So is JVH done?

Btw Guillod is racing in the SX2 class in Paris. Getting ready for 250 SX in USA?

Miro Sihvonen posted on his IG story that his 2019 plans will be public knowledge soon. Probably MX2 since he said he wants to move on from EMX250 earlier this year but what team would he land on?

Yes that must be like a jackpot to him. I guess they had to take plan B when the U23 rule was introduced for EMX250?

Since I'm swedish I keep my fingers crossed he can produce the results they expect, But it won't be an easy task in MX2 or in Maxxis.

So no news on Van Horebeek yet? Kinda crazy if he would be out without a ride but it's going more and more in that direction.

True, it would be a shame!
At least for the EU races he should be present, like KS22 is (curious about that, no confirmation seen yet).
Also MN12, is there any confirmation about him next year?

Looks like the 30+ guys are having troubles to get a deal sorted out.

I actually get JvH's position: If he can't get a paying ride he has to look for his best interests and that is to find a paying job. I mean, i'm sure he'll find a way tot get a free bike, mechanic and a van to go to the EU races, but how is he going to get a salary that way?

Imo a lot of things are nowadays better then they used to be, but one of the great things of MXGP in the 80's and 90's was that privateers were actually capable of having a decent income (purses+personal sponsors+free bikes etc.).

Feel for JVH #89, would be high on my list of riders to sign so the fact he remains a free agent is very worrying.

Shame this MX2 age restriction is still in place because he would be perfect in MX2, was flying in the MXoD a couple of years back!

Looks like the TM Rumors were true, shame to see Max is still without a ride at the moment.

Interesting read on Revo Husqvarna, apparently factory teams are trying to secure a deal for Zachary Pichon, been in discussions with Revo but they opted to sign Alvin Östlund.

Pichon had a statement on his Instagram that he will ride for another brand in the GP's next year.

As far as JvH goes, maybe something comes up for the nationals this summer? Or maybe even Japan or Australia? He is an elite rider in the MXGP class, so riding for championships over there could be possible.

According to Gatedrop Pichon will probably ride for 114Honda. Teammate young aussie Mitch Evans according to the same source. That means Bas Vaessen will have to find a new rider elsewhere. Feels weird that JVH and Nagl are still without a ride, but they have been around for a long time and probably made a few euro along the road. They are too old and too clever to do it for peanuts.

Japan teams have an agreement that their series can't be contested full-time by a non-Japanese rider for the A1 class (I believe A2 is the same), but they do allow a one off appearance for each OEM near the end of the season. Thus why Honda and Yamaha bring over a MXGP or US rider once a year.

Brylyakov and Strijbos and Tim Edberg to JWR.
Swedish championship and at least the euro GPs.
