This could be a blessing in disquise. Someone else must have outbid Fox? The ratings have been going upward so the value to air them should have also. Big TV package on network? More trickle down money for Purses? Naahh..

that would blow a hole in the statement they always make about paying to be on TV wouldn't it?
You're thinking of motocross, I don't think supercross has paid to be on TV in some time.

While i personally can vouch for the accuracy of this statement one thing i know for certain for all those saying there’s not much time to negotiate a new TV deal, I’m sure they have something locked up or close to it. Feld certainly isn’t just now looking to start negotiations with a new media partner. I’m sure negotiations have been taking place behind the scenes for months if not years. Most likely the culprit behind the scheduling delays.

I hope they have a SX option for NBC Sports Gold package. Worth every $$ spent for the outdoor series, great stream, can watch it anywhere (anytime), and no commercials.

NBC Gold pass for Sx would probably bring in so much cash I would imagine. That alone would probably keep Sx with the NBC family for a long time from here.
Uninterupted SX with no commercials? Doesnt sound too bad for me. We’ll see if that materializes though.

Here is the thing about the NBC Sports Gold app and no commercials, it is great for the outdoors when they go to commercials during the race. SX has been commercial free racing for years. I don't care if there are commercials as long as it doesn't interrupt the racing.

I hated the FS2, FS1 and Fox channel swapping, but will SX get the same type of numbers on NBC/NBC Sports? I could be wrong, but to me, Fox is a bigger network than NBC.

Yeah I’d agree. What was nice about NBC gold was that no matter where you are or when the race is, it was always available with no funny business. The channel searching and hopping between channels, missing the start of races due to UFC, gets really old. We might lose viewers due to the swap, but NBC has killed it with the NBC gold app. I hope it works out for everyone in the end!!

Not to mention you could go ride during the day or do other stuff, come back home and watch the races whenever you felt like it.

It's been mentioned on here a few times but when the races are on the West coast the East coast residents sometimes have a hard time staying up to watch the races until 2am. Let's not forget about the rest of the fans scattered around the world. The Gold App would allow anyone to watch the races the following morning without any spoilers or again whenever they feel like watching them.

Well it is an entertainment show after all, not like it was a serious sport.
Some folks like to watch a big assed Kardashian also.

Amen to all of this!

I have stupid Bell Expresvu here, pay a ton for it and haven't had SX in years.

The Gold App for outdoors has been a Godsend for me. SX would be great on NBC Gold

I thought the same thing, but then I remembered how it’s the same commercials over and over so it’s still a plus.

As long as its on traditional TV too, I have no problem with a streaming service as an add on.

I bought the NBC Gold the past 2 years (MavTV is not available) and it worked great for myself playing from the laptop onto the big screen TV, but trying to get it set up for my Dad to watch is a pain, he's not computer savvy and when things go sideways, which they often do with streaming, getting it back on was not fun. Clicking to Channel 1067 for Fox Sports 1 in High Def is easy.

One of the great things about being on Fox is the races were on, whether it be Fox 1 or Fox 2, yes baseball games or Nascar go long often, but they at least would broadcast on one of their channels, I think we may have missed 1 or 2 heat races in 4 years of coverage on Fox due to programming overruns.

Streaming Services do not attract new viewers, they cater to the existing hardcore fans. When was the last time you just started watching a random stream?

I just hope they don't go to ESPN like UFC did. I have FS 1 & 2, and NBCSN, but no ESPN.

In what universe is SX not a serious sport?

Said it before. Say it again. Hoping it’s on ESPN.

Hmmmm, seems like a negative outcome to me. Just streaming would sure suck. With fox we had FOX, FS1 and FS2. If they go with cbs maybe cbs and cbssn. I just hate to see fox go. But hey they are successful and filling a 3 hour time slot especially on east coast races on a saturday night for what Feld is willing to accept probably isn't easy. Pretty much marketing to industry businesses. Because they show the same commercials over and over, I expect they are not getting that much interest.

Fox usually worked for me, but I really prefer the NBC gold package. I enjoy watching the races when it’s convenient and being able to fast forward

NBC Gold please. I don't mind paying when I am guaranteed every race live and uninterrupted.

Good riddance. F*ck Fox Sports in it's stupid f*cking face. NBC Gold is where it's at, or live at an actual SX venue.

She's already gone on to more important/bigger things. That said she was great.

Since she's employed by FOX and they won't be airing SX in 2019 it's pretty safe to say that she won't be back.

She covered the FIFA World Cup this summer. SX is small potatoes in comparison.

She came in not knowing anything about the sport and like the true professional she is did her research and came off great on screen pretty much from the get go.

And just because a thread is useless without pics.

It's a shame to lose Jenny but we've been fortunate to have her. I do hope we get to keep Kristen Beat. She's a winner.

Hoping we hear something soon.
