I think they did a damn good job. Organization was top notch. Took less than 15 min to get in the gate and parked. There was plenty of staff directing traffic and keeping things moving. Rain made the parking area muddy cant really go turning everything into a gravel lot for one weekend.
I was even nore impressed when it was time to leave. No hassle, no panic no mayhem. They annouced it many times throughout the day. All you had to do was turn on your hazard lights and they came and pulled you out. Turned mine on and they came along in about 10 min.
Then again they actually had staff directing traffic on the way out. Thst made everything move very efficiently. I absolutely hate going to large events knowing that when it comes time to leave people are left to sort it out themselves. Leaving Daytona SX last year was a damn nightmare. Hats off to the staff at Redbud....

That's the thing. There were two different experiences going on out there, I know because My Sat and my Sun were two different experiences.

Saturday I was in the back lot and it was a mudbog and nobody from Red Bud was helping. They weren't directing or helping anyone for hours. I saw a dozer and a skidsteer sitting idle. Everyone around me was in the same boat, 4WD or not. The only way out was other fans pushing and lots of them did.

Sunday was the total opposite. I made sure I parked on a hilltop facing right onto a hardpack road in the front lot. No traction issues and every intersection had someone directing cars. Still took a while to get out but that is normal at Red Bud.
I probably should have clarified that we only parked in the back on the Saturday. After the farce that was the parking we weren't going to risk it again so we got an uber to the track. We certainly weren't paying $30 for the privilege.

I took this pic as we were leaving on Monday morning.

To completely sum up the weekend this shot needs an empty beer cup filled with tears of disappointment.

Oops,It was a joke. I shoulda stated that.

Yeah the preparation and organisation was terrible to account for bad weather. We all saw the forecast and yet they just directed people into already muddy fields and pretty much left you to fend for yourself.

Whether the money taken goes to the people that own the land or straight to youth stream, someone makes a LOT of money.

I agree with the directing traffic and crowd control at the gates. they did good there.

and the track was amazing. I lost 2 bets. made both before leaving the camper... 1st I said no one would hit a triple all day on sat (from the mud) 2nd I said no one would hit the leap all weekend. (from the mud and the roller right before it) guess I suck

did you (attempt to) walk through the midway or pits? did you go through the campground? THAT was a nightmare. I saw 1 skid steer in the pits and 1 dozer in the campground until the 2 tractors showed up..... scrape the 8" of mud off the top and get something down in the midway at least
Yeah I was all over the place. I knew what the forcast was and i prepared myself for it. Saturday morning i got stuck trying to get up the hill to park. Ford transit 250 calls for 70 psi in the rear tires which make them useless in mud lol. Someone from the track promptly directed me to park at the bottom of the hill. I heard them announcing that they weren't going to tow people from the parking lot so that was a bonus as i had no lodging plans.

Slept there in the van wich made the morning stress free. Took our time waking up and casually walked to a spot on the fence and set up our chairs. We took turns walking around till the race started. Was there mud? Of course is it the tracks fault? They had to prepare a race track as a world stage not worry about mudd around the vendors.

Im really curious what the official attendance number was. A

Leading up to the race i was reading the post talking about how all the good viewing areas were snatched up as VIP areas and that general admission wouldn't be able to see anything because of banners. That beer lines and bathroom lines would be insane.

Id have to say there was plenty of viewing areas all with good views depending on what you wanted to see. I chose to get close to the action and was right up on the fence at the uphill rollers before the leap. There was a large screen across from me and i could see the rest of the track that way. Portajohns the unsung hero of the event lol. They were serviced all weekend and never much of a wait. That really could have turned into a shitty situation but gladly it didnt. Food/beer vendors were doi jn g thier best to keep up with demand. Still between motos i was able piss and grab a drink and burger without missing anything. So from a logistical standpoint they killed it. Individual experiences may vary.

The grass race is less than 2 weeks away. On a positive note we won't have to deal with the slick dew covered grass in practice. It is sad to see such a beautiful facility so torn up though

Anyone get a pic of that truck grill/bumper/front end laying up against a pole? We were walking down the hill after the race and was like Holy Shit, there's a whole front end of a big truck pulled off!

Well after 5 days of camping and working a couple 12’s, I’m still cleaning and sorting, and just now getting to mine and my moto bro’s pics.

I’m confused by the people saying no one was being pulled out on Sunday afternoon.... there were at least 3 large Case agricultural tractors, a couple of dozers and at least 1 skid steer working all afternoon and all night? And that’s just what I saw in the A lots and the daily parking on the side of the hill. The promoters did a great job, all things considering. If you didn’t bring rubber boots, that’s your own fault.

We've already started winter in Michigan. Nothing is recovering for another 6 months.

The grass will grow back. Humans being pigs will never change. I don't get it. I've never intentionally left a piece of trash at a national or local race. I'll shove stuff in my pockets and or walk around with it in my hands until I find a trash can.

I paid someone $20 to give us a little extra tow through the soft spots so we didn’t bury the motorhome to the axles. We got lucky!parked real close to the main gate. Can’t imafien we woulda got out if we parked deep within the field of A2 and A1.

Yes but these photos do seem to indicate that the larger, more international crowd at the MXdN were better at controlling their trash than the usual Americans are at the National.

We always make sure to leave our area at least as clean as and usually cleaner than when we arrived. Track, beach, wherever we go. People are disgusting though and the moto crowd obviously is no exception.

There weren't many trash cans that's weren't over flowing at nations. The best you could do was throw trash in piles next to trash cans.

Lol for as much as we all paid, and as much as they skimped out on providing accommodations for the bad weather, I think they can afford their own grass seed.

I dispute that this is the best facility or track still. First time there and I've been to Colorado, Millville and Freestone as well. Millville as a facility and a track to me hands down has Red Bud beat. I was kind of shocked really.

Are you giving them a break considering all the rain? The week leading up to the race the drone videos and pictures made it look like the Masters of golf course.

I think Millville's track looks unreal and I'm sure the facility is great, it's on my bucket list to go to for sure.
