Who should make excuses? Did Great Britain win, did I miss something?

I think this was a better result than USA getting a podium. It shows beyond reasonable doubt that our program is not as good. Its not the Euro tracks, it's not the schedule, its not the time change. Something must change.

I am NOT trying to be a douche, but do you really think USA would not have done better on normal Red Bud dirt than the sand that was used to save the event from being a mud bog?

Henry Kullats or whatever his name is beat Barcia twice. He's a no fucking body if it was dry.
Also not trying to be a douche,... but this type of excuse is getting old...

Lol, as soon as I saw this post I knew the OP was from GB. They talk more shit for a country who hasn't done anything meaningful in the world of MX since the advent of the internet. Living vicariously through France, classic!

It's a reason, not an excuse. Rewatch the race to see how well Plessinger, Tomac and Barcia do in sandy slop compared to Euros (even a few they don't mention often on the MXGP races).

We have all seen the USA riders (and Roczen, Ferrandis, Musquin, etc.) fly around on the Red Bud dirt several times.

All the shit talking from USA fans was based on dry conditions. Rain made the heaping helping of crow get dished out in heaping helpings.

If someone thought that USA riders were going to crush Euros in sandy slop, then those people REALLY need to eat crow and finish off with a slice of humble pie.

No excuses needed. Not only was team USA not competitive, they were irrelevant. I'm sure the boys in red white and blue tried their best, but they aren't even in the same zip code right now as the MXGP'ers - even on home soil. Hell, they were dropping anchor in the third moto. And look what riding the US Series did to Roczen, he wasn't all that competitive either.

Bitch slap of truth.

I have some questions for you:

1. Was Tomac in the same zip code when he got 4th in the first moto?

2. Was Tomac in the same zipcode when he moved forward through the pack his entire 2nd moto to finish 7th after a terrible start, and had the 3rd fastest lap time of the race?

3. Was Tomac in the same zip code with a faster lap time in the last moto than Cairoli, Lupino, Paulin, Searle, Antsie, Nagle, and every single other GP rider except the two Dutch riders?

3 Was Plessinger in the same zip code yesterday when he was leading his qualifier before he made a mistake on a tough, rutted triple jump in the mud?

4. Was Barcia in the same zip code yesterday when he got 2nd in his qualifier right behind Coldenhoff who smoked everyone-including Herlings-today?

Bitch slap of truth my ass.
That's fine but the fact is none of our guys were really in contention in the races that counted . Cherry picking lap times and qualifying results doesn't cut it.

Kinda tired of comments like "not as good as the MXGP riders". Kinda hard stats game with 3 riders vs everyone else and if they underperform its so noticeable. Really they'd fit super well in the GP series and make the racing even closer.

All year everyone’s been speculating, “oh yeah, Herlings is only fast because he hasn’t raced Tomac yet.”

Was Herlings meant to be ever so polite and say, “Oh, I was just lucky on the day.”?

Herlings owned this one.

There should have been a McDonalds drive-through on the side of the track. Herlings could have stopped off for a snack and still beaten Tomac.

Serial killers are more subtle than the belting given out this weekend.

Blimey, even Australia placed higher than the US.

The US riders choked. It happens.

To make excuses people are saying that there should be a Supercross of Nations, because surely the US would win that one, right?

Nah, there should be a Bike Forum of Nations, where it’s all about seeing which country’s fans can pump out the most bullshit in a weekend. We can stamp that one for the US right now.

From the dictionary:
Choke: To stifle and suffocate, particularly when it matters the most.

I remember when Dungey was still riding they said his bike had the same frame and suspension as the Euro KTMs, but that the Euro KTMs had a different engine and more power.

No, not in the same zip code on race day. To be fair, Roczen wasn't in the same zip code either. No points given out for qualifying last time I checked. I'm as 'Merican as apple pie, and I can call it for what it was....a beat down. I'd love to hear the perspective from our riders.

USA sucked big time. At the end of the day it was an epic event! The conditions were crazy and I can not for the life of me get how they made that track as awesome as it was. Watching Glenn that last Moto was very inspiring. What a race! Stop being mad and start being happy this sport is what it is. It’s rough as nails and unpredictable some time and you never know who can come out and ride like that. For God sakes we had Windham and Pastrana out on the track. So cool! Wish I could have been there....Pinch

So lack of HP is the excuse? That must be why 3 250f's went 2,3&4 overall in the second moto.

Piss poor starts for sure. It just doesn't cut it at an event like this in those conditions. I still believe that the US has legit world class mx riders but today wasn't the day that could have shown it. No excuses. Hats off to all countries that showed up and raced and more so to France for their streak. Don't those frenchies like supercross too? Wink
So why do you give an excuse and then say no excuses? Why are there days when the US doesn't have it, but Herlings always has it? The US use to have it when Carmichael was in it. The snowflake virus is doing serious damage.

And what about the leap? I recall seeing lots of talk about how how the euros didnt have balls to do it so they put that roller infront.

But I only saw the Euros jumping it.

1. No, couldn't even pass Searle with an expiring bike. I'd say he was in the same zip code but his letter had no stamp.
2. No, other top riders started further back and finished higher. One lap does not a race make.
3. No, see last sentence in Q.2.
3. no.2. Counting's not your strong point, but yes he was but missed the mail.
4. Yes, see last part of Q.3 no.2.
It's ok if you enjoy getting your bitch ass slapped.

I'm just pointing out that the FIM and AMA bikes aren't exactly the same. If both bikes have similar top end and one has more grunt down low that could make a big difference in sloppy conditions.

I'm not trying to make an excuse, I actually posted the other day that Herlings would beat Tomac.
Honestly the best excuse any of the U.S. guys has is Tomac, because his bike blew up in the qualifier. Who knows how hard he was pushing after that.
