Don't worry. Traffic won't be this bad again for a long time. Not many will be on here for next year's even sandier track.

Don't spend a penny on upgrading anything. By the time MXoN ever comes back to the USA, the quality gap will be even worse and less people interested. Save money.

The Euros will talk shit for a while (as well they should), but they will be back on here excited to watch MEC by the weekend.

I was angry for a moment and I got out of hand, just wanted them to win the whole thing overall, because they were the best. I'm not that kind of person to wish bad luck on anyone, especially mx, which I raced for 8 years... I'm not 13 bzw, I'm 20 just to be clear, just lost my temper.

In the grand scheme of things, I hope Tomac puts it in the back of his mind and worries about a million dollars on Saturday night. Musquin is working on setup tomorrow. Roczen, Tomac, Barcia and Plessinger better get back on that ASAP.

MXDN is a truly special race. Each year, some riders manage to pull their A game (this year the Hoff, Paulin, Lawrence & Prado were amazing), and unfortunately, this year, all the US team and Roczen were off their usual pace.

But, wow, what a great show !!!

I kind of agree that the pace has slowed in motocross here in the states. They push enough to win and that's it which is fine when racing here but does not work against the euros. I remember the days when RC and JS pushed each other the whole moto. Even RV against RD was a war and RV demoralized everyone his last year. I respect are boys for trying hard this weekend but we are in a new era where we no longer dominate. Problem is I dont blame sx because when we were dominating mx we were still racing sx as well. Not sure how to fix it.

Agreed it was a fantastic race but...every rider was on the same track. Our boys did the best they could but they are not on the same level as the GP riders. There is no arguing this point. The race was held...we were found lacking. The only shame in losing is trying to make excuses. Americas greatest asset has always been to regroup and overcome. Admit defeat, congratulate the winners, go home and work your ass off.

You do realise that 'losing', or more accurately, not winning in front of your home crowd is a regular occurrence for almost all other host nations, bar a few exceptions.

The winning team will always be the one with the lowest score, it doesn't matter about your pedigree or history, only what happens on the day. The margin for error is tiny now that the competition is so high, and the opportunity for issues to occur is very high given the number of variables.

That he wasn't up on the podium might be a bit of an indication that whatever happened to his eye(s), could be a damned sight worse than a bit of grit to the eye.

Today they weren't up to it. Tomorrow they might be. Or not. Hard to say.

Just like today doesn't mean that Coldenhoff is the faster rider over Herlings on a regular basis, it's a little silly applying that logic to any other of the finishes.

There are some patterns that are apparent, though, and that's that France has some incredible depth of riders available that are capable of riding extremely well no matter what the soil is or the weather conditions. Their streak of 5 wins in a row is incredible, especially when you consider some of the riders that they've had to replace or have left off their team during that run.

Fair play to the U.S fans on here, taking it on the chin and admitting the Euro scene is strong right now. Anyone who has seen Herlings ride in real life understands he rides a bike like nobody has ever seen before and will go down as the sports best ever. Nothing wrong with showing passion in an interview instead of thanking everyone like a robot.
The Dutch deserves the win, France should have handed Glen and Jeff the trophy!
The next two years at assen ans Ernee are going to be even worse for u U.S guys.... lets hope a few ex GP boys like Zac are fit!

This race always delivers. Was rooting for Italy and TC222 to take it that last moto, but oh well. And man the Dutch have been so close so many times now. I really hope they pull it off at home next year.
