My birthday was Monday... but my driver’s license also expired then. When I landed at O’Hare and went to rent a car...oops. No dice.

It was a nice Uber ride from Chicago to South Bend, though...

That happened to me once in San Jose - I just fibbed and said that I forgot to add the renewal sticker to the back of it before leaving on my trip. They actually bought it.....

In Virginia your license expires on the last day of your birth month. You'da been good through the 31st. Sorry.

Well, some states do. In Louisiana we are able to get a sticker for every other renewal. There is actually a place on the back of the license that is specifically set aside for the renewal sticker to be attached. Not a bad idea if you think about it, saves the cost and trouble of obtaining a new license every time. They simply send you the renewal sticker in the mail.
