Hope he will finally have a injury free year, he should be a top 10 regular when fit.
I think KTM regrets big time they signed him for that long.

It’s a shame the boy is made from glass. He certainly looked to be the next big thing coming through the ranks

Well in that time I think they mostly regret letting go of Tim Gajser who rode for KTM.... Better safe than sorry and to be honest I also thought Pootjes was the next big thing. I think they contracted Mewse also for a longer time, just to be sure no other brand can take those kids away.

Barr finished 4th in EMX250 championship after leading at the start and doesn't have a ride for next year either.

No disrespect to Barr, I like him, but someone of his experience has to be doing better than he has this season. He finished nearly 100 points down on the championship winner in EMX250 and is only 5th in MX2 in the British in a class that really is full of kids. It's a shame he doesn't have a ride, but I don't think he can feel too aggrieved, based on how the season has gone

That's 6 podiums in his first 2 years in the 450 class. Ridiculous that he doesn't have a ride. I don't know who Husky has lined up to replace him, but they aren't going to get that kind of return from them

So he can ride in the sand... I liked the guys riding style and such, and didn't really have a problem with him until I saw some interviews a couple of years ago. I might be wrong, but to me he looks so damn fake. I rather listen to people who stay themselves. I don't really see a reason why he should get a factory ride so bad.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head when you said you might be wrong. He can ride more than just in the sand. He podiumed in France last year and went 1-1 at MXdN. He has more podiums than Febvre in the last 2 years. I've never got the impression that he was fake at all, he's always been the way he is and always been himself. The way he is interviews, that's how he is. He is more than worthy of a decent ride in MXGP

The "might be wrong" part was about him being fake. Not about him not able to ride a hard pack track..... What I meant to say is that he was expected to be fast in Assen. About Febvre, he is like the new DP19 I guess. A champion going downhill.

If that's the real Anstie, then I don't like him. Every word coming out of him sounds like it should have never entered the air, lol. But that's just my opinion.
I guess he is just not someone I like. We all have someone like that.

I think he interviews well. He comes across entertaining and fun, but it's gotta be hard to keep that up when things are not always going your way.
Unfortunately when I have met him and engaged in conversation he has not been the fun guy like in the interviews, and I don't think I come across as someone wanting anything from these guys. Cairoli has always been friendly and acknowledges when spoken to, as does Searle and especially Simpson. It's something my son always remembers, who was willing to give a little time and acknowledgment.

I'm still a fan of Anstie regardless as he is the fastest British rider at the moment. Hoping he gets something positive sorted for next year. Also fingers crossed for Simpson.

Totally agree. Max has been doing very well in MX1. He isn’t in AC222 or JH84’s level but nobody is.

Based on his relatively young age w/proven 450 wins & podium experience you would think he would be VERY high on team managers wish list. Sadly he apparently doesn’t have family money or a rich backer like some other riders to buy a seat.

I hope Paulin, Anstie and van Horebeek and others end up in america. First of all because imo they deserve a decent ride, but more importantly maybe it forces youthstream to get rid of the stupid age rule.

I think they see it as part of their business. They try to sign anyone, and know they end up with a couple of Mewse's and Pootjes which is fine for them as long as they also hit on a Prado and Jonass.

Sounds like Paulin and Horebeek have deals, Anstie though is the question mark at this point. Sadly, if all three tried to come over there wouldn't be rides for them. Paulin and Anstie have some past Supercross results to use in their favor but Horebeek wouldn't be too sought after. Horebeek also stated if he didn't get a good GP ride he'd just retire.

What would be an option for Anstie in the US?

Where are Paulin and v Horebeek going?
If I would be team manager of Husky, I would stay with Anstie. He's still young, and when fit he's able to be a podium finisher regular.
Perhaps go all British with Simpson, this could be a good match.

I heard a rumour that KTM will put Jonass with Ice One Husqvarna because they want a potential winner on that Husqvarna. Then they would keep Coldenhoff next to Herlings and Van Horebeek would take Glenn's spot at Standing KTM.
Sounded a bit weird to me, but maybe there are some parts true.

Or JVH next to Herlings? They were good friends as teammates for a few years. We will see soon

I agree. Sign a few very talented riders for 5 years: a few of them (Herlings, Prado, Jonass) deliver championships, others are struggling with injuries like Pootjes or Mewse

Tonus signed with Wilvo, no word so far about Paulin. Most contracts end on the 30th of September, so previous years the most/last announcements were made in the first week of October.

It was allready told that Coldenhoff will go to Standing and Van Hobereek will join Herlings?
Only place Paulin could be going seems to be Wilvo Yamaha with Tonus.
Seems no one wants to go Asso Motor Honda.. only time I saw their bike was at pitlane broken down last GP...

Coldenhoff to Standing KTM was made official but nothing about Jonass or Van Horebeek so far. The initial plan was Jonass next to Herlings.
The rest about Jonass, Coldenhoff and Horebeek is just speculations.

I still dont get why Jonass is moving up. The last half year he is a big struggle and is gonna lose the title. Why not stay down one last year and go for the title and win some races...

In the MXGP he is just another guy who is getting top 10 results and sometimes top 5.

The way MXGP is at the moment, if you get offered a ride in the 450 class you better take it, cos it might not be there in a years time. He already won an MX2 title, it's the right call to move up I think

I know in the past his father being involved wasn't always an asset for him...but I don't know if he still hangs around a lot?

Other than that I have to agree with what other brings up about the 23yo rule. It has to go away sooner rather than later.
