I don't think any of them will do anything worth noticing in the motos, if they even qualify. Sipes is going to have a tough time getting a good start on a 125 in the qualifying race, Pastrana is most likely out of shape and can't ride harder than a few laps, even back in 06 when he was trying to race he was getting tired, and "Ronnie Mac" is Albertson who wouldn't do that well even in full prep tryhard mode.

Like he said, Sipes won't do anything worth noticing. A 15-20th place ride is hardly "noticeable." They'll show Sipes a few times on the broadcast just because of the whole situation but whoever he is sandwiched in between won't even get any mention.

Most teams arent that good. Only a couple have 3 fast dudes, a handful have 2 decent dudes and a slow guy, a bunch have 1 decent dude, and 2 slow ones, the rest really have 3 slow guys. Getting a 20th place is approx like getting a 7th. All 3 of those guys will be top 20 in their 'class'.
I dont know how many people are in each "class" but I highly doubt TP199 gets top 20 unless there's only 20-25 riders. No offense to him but this ain't 2002.

You have to remember that MXDN is full of second and third tier riders to fill their nation's teams. Pastrana could be fast enough in the qualifiers to handle the cannon fodder.

Can't see an RM250 being anything but a hindrance - if Travis had a good 450 and started preparing now I bet he could surprise.

I never said Sipes wasn't fast. He isn't going to get a 25th place start and come up to 5th. Pastrana most likely DNF's his race and Albertson is lucky to break top 15 on a CR250 with the top GP riders racing, so no, I don't think they make it.

And I never said you said Sipes wasn't fast. We all know he's extremely fast. But he's not top 10 at MXdN fast. He's probably 15-20 fast. Which is still fantastic. We all wish we were that good.

I think they will get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 2 strokes! That is a full podium.

They make A Main, pretty easily.

Then finish in the middle of the pack.

I love underdogs.

Oh, and Ronnie Mack runs his real name on his jersey (without reference to his diet on his bike or gear, but may advertise a beer sponsor if it is allowed).

Too bad "The leap" won't be on the track. FIM is taking it out because of the mixed displacement of bikes on the track at the same time.

Stank dog is lucky to get 30th at an average national against 450 privateers. As awesome as TP199 and MB3 are, they are kind of past their primes and are pissing up a rope riding 250 two strokes vs 450 four strokes.

True but even the second string riders are on bikes that make twice the usable power compared to the 250 two strokes that TP199, MB3 and JAx will ride.

To be more exact, there is a B-final but not a A-final.
There are 3 heats on sunday for the teams that qualify on saturday. Each heat has 2 riders of every team in it and the the 5 results counts So the team with the least amount of points wins the Nations.

I think they qualify for Sunday.

The real question is: do you really think any of those three would be faster than Stank dog?
The answer is obviously no, which means they will be waxed even by most of the slowest riders, which means B-final

Stank dog wasn’t invited, as in it wasn’t his idea and he didn’t do the leg work to put the deal together by going down to PR, sitting on the beach, renting the jet skis, drinking banana daiquiris with 151 floaters until the deal was inked......so he’s not IN!

I think you guys are nuts, TP is a former champion, he'll be fine. Sipes is in great shape and is still fast, and Albertson is no slouch. They race Sunday no problem.

On a two stroke? Maybe
On a four stroke? Definitely
If Brown will be there on a four stroke instead of Pastrana or Ron then I think they would qualify for the A final, or whatever is called

I think they are going to meet their goals of raising money and awareness that PR still needs help. I think TP is going to race hard, try hard and somewhere in the middle of doing some amazing things on a bike is going to laugh out loud, smile big and have fun and give a big thumbs up to everybody. He will also be overly humble and complimentary to other riders even though we all know he is one of the baddest MFer's to ever throw a leg over a bike. Lets just watch and enjoy. Its for charity for crying out loud. We get to watch one of the greatest showmen of all time at one of the biggest events in a discipline he loves but has stepped away from. It is an absolute pleasure for me to watch TP ride an MX track, any track.

I would argue that MxDN is not the appropriate venue to raise money and awareness for Puerto Rico. To add insult to injury, having "Ronnie Mac" on the roster makes the scheme that much more stupid and pointless. Why is this idiotic character still a thing any way?

If they really care about raising money and awareness for Puerto Rico, why not use Nitro Circus and the US Motocross series as the platform to do that?

This whole thing just seems like they're using the auspice of "providing aid to Puerto Rico" to execute a boneheaded afterthought.

USA will have an A & a B team. 100% supporting it!!!

How much will YOU donate??? They posted that have already raised $15000 and sent it to help those in PR.
