Never had the "pleasure" to race, let alone ride the damn thing but, I sure did (still do) dig the hell out of the bike.

If I had raced one of those back in 73/74 as opposed to my 1967 Kawasaki 120 I would have probably been the 1979 SX champion instead of Hannah, or something like that.

Don't know why, it just looks sexy so, it must have handled right, right?

Would like to have one in my garage.

I never raced mine but I learned to ride on a 1979 MX100. All white.

By the time that came out I had retired two Husqvarna's , a 1970 250 Cross and a 1971 400 Cross, and had moved on to 1973 CZ 400.

‘74 MX100 first bike, $780 new. Dad brought it home in the trunk of his ‘67 Coupe DeVille.

I had a 74, my friend had a 73. I was so jealous of his and hated mine. Which is funny because the 74 is miles ahead of the 73 chassis wise.

Although I will be showing my age, I believe that is a 73 LT3 MX. I started on a predecessor to that, a 71 HT1 90 Enduro. They had not offered an MX version in the 90cc yet.

I got one for Christmas that year. Just off a mini enduro, couldn't ride the 100 very well until I got a 21" front wheel for it.

Lots of memories here..

Came off of a JT1 to a 1972 LT2 MX as a first "race bike", but didn't get to race my first race until 1974.

Then in 1974 got an MX100 and won the first 2 motos I ever entered. Have only kept a few special trophies from special wins from those days but this one from that day was worth keeping.

My buddy had a new LT1 100mx back in the day.
Shortly after he got it, he installed a NOGUCHI kit on it.
No power below 8000 rpm but above that, watch out!
It felt as quick as a 175 with that kit !

First bike was a 1972 Yamaha LT2 Enduro. It looked very similar to the bike above! Still have it also!

Didn't race it but road the crap out of it! It was my neighbors and we would switch all the time when we practiced, it was a wheely machine! I raced a Hodaka at that time.

i had one as my first bike. I rode the thing everyday after school for 5 hours no BS> i loved the bike and had probobly over 100 hours on it. Ran like shit was totally clapped out. Slow as hell. but i was 12 and on 2 wheels. use to ride the roads to friends houses and drive it off my ass after raiding my dads beer stash. man this totally brought me back. As if people even raced these bikes i had no idea. that must have been one hell of a rough ride.
